One of the few multi-disc DVD players out there; I was glad to find it. I'm using it in our bedroom, where the tv is awkardly placed and it's hard to take discs in and out all the time. I've loaded it up with a variety of DVDs so I can just push a button and watch something quickly, when I'm sleepy or not feeling well. It's hooked up to an older TV with RCA cables and works fine that way; it will use HDMI but don't worry if your TV is not so equipped. The only minor problem I've had so far is that the sensor for the remote seems to be below the level of the disc tray. When the tray is open, you have to point the remote below it for it to work. If you have it on a low shelf it can be tricky.

I purchased this unit to replace a older Sony DVD carousel that got fried by a thunderstorm. I use it for music 99% of the time so I can't comment on it's video qualities. Sound is very good and operation is easy. The unit is attractive and the mechanicals sound pretty smooth.
The remote is a little cheap and too many functions are only on the on screen menu. Feature wise it falls short of my Sony but was half the price.
All in all a good value for the money.

I like the fact that you can load the carousel with six DVDs. I often have four discs in the tray, two movies and probably a Three Stooges DVD where I will watch one short in between movies.

This player does something different than others in that you can open the tray while watching a movie. Different, huh?

I am using the DVD player in a Broadcast Video Production Course. It has great quality. It should be a true asset when we start making highlight films and pulling from several different DVDs.

Love that this product will hold 6 discs. Holds whole season of a TV series - - or lots of CD's if I want to listen instead of watch. Loads discs quickly, & has a great picture on 1080 (we're using S-video cable). One rather annoying thing: too much on the display -- hard to differentiate the numbers quickly.

I was very relieved and happy to find a 6 disc player. Most players are either 1 disc or 400. I wanted neither. I was not sure about Onkyo but decided to take a chance as this was the only 6 disc carousel player I could find. We love it! [...] easy to install and it has great features especialy the "Party Mode" which allows you to hear all of your tunes in a random fashion. We definitely reccommend this dealer and product!

Thanks so much for offering this product. I work in an airport where we have an Aviation Museum/Observation Room. As part of customers visiting the museum, we like to show aviation related documentations or movies as an added amentity during wait times. 6-disc DVD players are almost obsolete, so thanks again for offering this product.

I am very satisfied overall with all features and design. Honestly never thought I would pay over $200 for a DVD player but I am hoping this model will last longer then the last two Sony's I had. The remote control is weight balanced and buttons are a good size, and the locations are fine. Display button shows lots of info, more than needed.

We have NCIS Tv Show Seasons 1-7 and the New
NCIS: Los Angels, All Have 6 Disc's.
It is great to load all the Disc's at once!!!
With HDMI it brings all My DVD's to 1080p
I had a Panasonic 5 Dic Player. Pic quality was
ok, NOW WITH THE DV-CP706B EVERY DVD IS SHAP and
A REAL JOY TO WATCH.
I would NOT BY a Blue-Ray Player!!

I bought this Onkyo because it is one of the few multi-disc players still available. Now I know why... this is a quality product. I've only had it a week, but I am very happy with it so far. The best thing about it (other than being a 6 disc changer) is the 2 year parts and labor warranty! This replaces a Sony 5 disc changer that stopped recognizing discs after 6 months. This is my first experience with Onkyo, but I will certainly consider them for future component purchases, and as always, B&H is a great place to do business.

For those of us that like to put a few discs in and not return to the player for a while this is the machine. Excellent design and sound quality, easy to understand instruction manual and fast set-up, what more could you ask for.

This unit feeds movies to a display in a student lounge 5 days a week, 12 hours a day. It has functioned flawlessly for well over a year. for a consumer grade product that's a considerable acheivement.

Nice player. While picture quality is good, the up conversion difference is not all that noticable (I have 720P, 1080 may be different). It is great having a component that can play movies and/or music. Also, one less device I have to buy and make room for. I bought this over the Sony because it held one more disk and would do random play.
