Surround encoding typically assigns most dialogue to the center channel but many center channel speakers are not that clear in the 85-285Hz voice frequency range so the voices can be clearly distinguished and understood over the other channels. JBL obviously took this into account when designing this center channel speaker as dialogue is no longer a struggle to understand. As usual, JBL's high efficiency ducted port design allows this speaker to deliver outstanding sound while drawing less than 20 Watts in most listening situations. You can't beat this performance for anywhere near the price of this speaker!

I use the ES25CC for my home entertainment center. The first time I heard this speaker I was pleasantly surprise to hear clarity of the reproduction of an acoustic guitar.

I got a JBL surround package (1600c) and recently upgraded the center speaker with the ES25. The boost in quality was obvious and immediate. Great deep tones and very sturdy construction. For this price, this is just unbeatable in value. A winner for any set up.

I will now be upgrading mt other speakers to the ES range.
