Gator Cases GE-DRAWER-2U 2U Rack Drawer
The Gator Cases GE-DRAWER-2U 2U Rack Drawer (Black Powder Finish) is designed to fit a Gator 2U space rack case. It is a fully enclosed drawer made from cold roll 16 gauge 1.5mm steel. It has spring-loaded latches and two 2.0" rubber grommets for rear access. The drawer has a lock knock-out, lock and key included. Mounting hardware is included.

It's a drawer, and it seems to work just fine. I'd put a piece of non-skid shelf liner (the rubbery, meshy kind) in the bottom so it's not so noisy and keeps stuff from sliding around.

This product came well packed and is a bit less expensive than the other brands of rack drawers. Nice extension slides plus a punch out for a lock as well. Has two rubber grommets that go out the back of the drawer - you can lock away a laptop or ipod with it still connected. The finish probably won't match your other rack gear (semi gloss black) but my equipment isn't trying to win a beauty contest.

Finally, a product made of good old-fashioned heavy-gauge steel! Solid construction and flawless finish. The lock cyclinder (user-installable) seems to have some play and could be just a little bit better quality for the price. Although, given most situations in which locking the drawer becomes necessary, it's probably more than adequate. Well worth the investment.

Slides very easy but stays closed when you want it to. I would definitely buy more as they are needed.
