The Bushnell 3, 5 MP Trail Sentry NV Digital Camera lets hunters monitor their favorite hunting grounds 24/7 so they can identify the most productive hunting areas. Its built-in Night Vision capability means that hunters can image game at night at a range of up to 15 feet without using a visible flash which may "spook" some game. The camera provides extended battery life, faster trigger times and weatherproof construction so it can perform without fail in any climate or application. It produces high quality, color photos, and it can be set to take still images or video clips.
The 3, 5 MP Trail Sentry NV digital camera is easy to set up and operate. The four toggle switches on the cameras control panel allow the user not only to turn the unit on and off, but to switch from video to still, set the camera's delay time and set the unit to operate during the day or night only, or 24 hours a day. The digital camera is activated by motion, and it uses a passive infrared sensor to detect motion out to 45 feet. When a full color image is captured, it is stamped with the date and time for keeping records of game activity, and it can also provide a moon phase stamp to correlate game activity to the monthly cycle. Images are saved on a removable SD card, and the images can then be downloaded to a computer via a card reader for editing, saving or sharing with friends.

- The 3, 5 MP Trail Sentry NV features a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels with full color and it can be programmed to take still images or video clips.

- The camera will detect and photograph animals from up to 45' away with its motion activated infra-red sensor.
- Easily Secured
- The 3, 5 MP Trail Sentry NV offers several levels of security. It is attached to a tree or post with an extra wide security strap and the waterproof case can also be padlocked to prevent access to the SD card and control panel.
- Daytime or Night Operation
- The 3, 5 MP Trail Sentry NV can be set up to operate during the day or night only, or 24 hours a day. For monitoring active game trails or feeding areas, the camera has a delay feature that sets the camera to record images with 30 seconds, 1-minute and 2-minute delays. For night operation, the camera has a large incandescent flash that reach out as far as 30 feet - a light sensor automatically determines when the flash is needed.
- Night Vision Mode
- When used in the Night Vision mode, the 3, 5 MP Trail Sentry NV will capture images out to 15 feet with no visible flash and the Night Vision mode can also be used to take daylight images.
- Textured Bark-Like Surface
- The Textured Surface is colored to look like tree bark and is very well camouflaged when placed properly. Furthermore, the casing is water resistant to survive rain or snow over long periods of time.
- Moon Phase Stamp
- For hunters who want to correlate deer activity to moon phases, the Trail Scout Pro will stamp the moon phase on each digital image. The camera also records a more traditional time/Date stamp and users can add a line of text to each image for reference information.
- Long Operation Period
- The camera is powered by four "D" batteries for long operation periods up to 30 days, and the memory can be expanded with high capacity SD cards for hundreds of images. There is also a Low battery indicator that flashes when the available power is at 1/4 full.
- Easy-to-use Controls
- The 3, 5 MP Trail Sentry NV has a simple interface and four toggle switches that are used to program the camera and set all other functions, even while wearing gloves.
- Includes Field Kit
- The Bushnell Field kit allows users to set up the camera in any location and deploy the camera for extremely long duration use. The kit includes the ratcheting bracket which allows for more precise placement of the camera, the Solar panel charger and rechargeable D-cell batteries so the unit will never run out of power, and a high capacity SD Card to store hundreds of photos.

I used this once, left it up for a couple days and came to get it, and the power shut off. Replaced the batteries, set it up only to come back and find the power shut off again. After doing some internet research I came to find out this is a very common problem with this unit. We are sending it in to Bushnell and now find out that any warranty repairs they require us to pay for shipping AND send them $10 for return handling. I would definitely go with another manufacturer

I purchased the Trail Sentry to try and discover what kinds of creatures are passing through my back yard. I initially set it up about 40 feet from a street and left it for a few days. When I went back to it, it had taken 450 photos! It took me a while to figure out that the "creatures" were passing cars and school buses. I'll relocate it so that it doesn't 'see' the street. I also find the night settings to be non-intuitive and require a bit of studying the manual and trial and error to get the way you want.
