LumiQuest FX Color Gel System (5-Filters and Holder)
The Lumiquest FX Color Gel System includes an assortment of five colored gels: blue, green, red, yellow and amber. The FX filter holder, designed to fit most flash models, enables the photographer to quickly and conveniently colorize the light for a variety of special effect applications.
The system folds flat and comes with a convenient storage pouch.

Awesome to get that certain color temp for your portraits. Small, compact and comes with a carrying case for your gels and the diffuser. The only thing I didn't like was the tape-sided Velcro that you are supposed put on your flash. Other than that, its great!

I recently used this to photograph inside a low-lit church with tungsten light. The amber filter did a good job of balancing the flash light with the ambient, such that a white balance setting of tungsten produced nearly natural results. Slipping the filters in and out, however, is a little difficult -- they are a tight fit. If you are going to be changing filters frequently during a shoot, you might want to take this into consideration.

Very easy way to change the quality of the light from your flash. Will fit most flash guns and seems durable enough as long as you are not extremely rough with it. I think it is a great product for the value.

for not alot of money i got some cool effects. for example at dusk setting my white balance to tungsten to make the sky very blue and using my yellow gel filter on my subject i got a very pleasing portrait.

What does this give you? Two things:1. A soft box that makes your on-camera strobe twice as large. That makes your shadows softer.2. It let's you change the color of your strobe. That means that you can change the white balance on your camera to make a scene blue or amber BUT flash your subject with a color that makes them the correct color.For example, you can shoot a twilight scene with the camera on Tungsten. That will give you a velvet blue sky. Put the amber gel in the FX and you subject isn't blue. GET IT?Way cool.
