Comments about Bebob Engineering COCO-EX1 Battery Adapter:
I found the Bebob EX1 Adapter to do its job but I very much dislike the build on this item. Firstly when the item first arrived I found it had an extra plate (not shown in the instruction manual) that appears to be used to secure the battery to the adapter. The plate is suppose to swing up after loosening a Philips head screw. Firstly who is going to use a Philips head screw driver everytime they change a battery? Secondly once the plate was loosened and the battery installed there was no way the plate was going over the end of the battery. So I made the decision to remove the plate so that it looks exactly like the photos in the manual. As I was removing the two screws I heard something fall inside the box. I was worried that it may have been a metal object and if left it may short something out, so I disassembled the adapter and found a metal nut and plate had fallen when I took the swing arm out. I removed these items and reassembled the adapter. The adapter works fine but I find removing and installing batteries a bit of a pain as there is no positive feel as to whether the battery makes the contacts or not until the camera is turned on. The reason I bought this item was so that I could run a powerful LED Video Light on the EX1 but in hindsight I believe the Switronix EX1 Battery would have been a better purchase as it has the D-Tap I required without all the hassles of the Bebob EX1 Adapter.
