This Century Precision Optics 0HD-06WA-EX1 Wide Angle Auxiliary Lens is for the Sony PMW-EX1 camcorder. The wide angle coefficient is 0.6x, which delivers a 40% wider angle than your stock lens. The resulting focal length is 2.5-14.9mm with an 87.7-18.3° horizontal angle of view. This lens will bayonet mount directly to the lens of the Sony PMW-EX1.

I found that there weren't too many times I could use this lens because it really bends the vertical lines a lot. Landscapes were okay. "Luckily" I had mine stolen...so now I need to decide whether to replace it...or pay more than twice as much for the less wide .4x

Bought this to do home interiors and it gives a nice, wide image but you have to be willing to accept some barrel distortion. Doorways and straight lines will bend as they come close to the frame edge. Also, you must be absolutely pristinely clean when you use this. If there is ANY dust on the lenses and the sun or any strong light source hits the dust, you WILL see dust spots....big time!

It's wider, it's lighter, it's cheaper... but a little tricky.You need to make sure that Macro is on, and you're at full wide on the camera. Auto focus should be on too, strange yes, but trying to manually focus is really tough with this adapter and auto seems to produce better results.I have an HD wide matt box, but this lens shows the edges at full wide so there goes the advantage if you use 4x4 filters... given the limitations, I'd trade it in for the more expensive, less wide zoom through lens adapter any day.
