The Dust-Aid Dust-Wand Kit provides easy wet cleaning of all DSLR Sensors and is a cost effective means of cleaning hard-to-remove dust and dirt from your camera's image sensor filter.
This kit includes three Dust-Wands for cleaning image sensors with 1.6 (14mm), 1.3 (16mm) and 1.0 (18mm) dimension factors, and 50 Dust-Cloth, non woven wipes packed in a zip lock bag to keep them dust free. Also included are three small clips that are used to hold the cleaning wipe in place on the wand.
The included Ultra Clean cleaning fluid is non-flammable; non-alcohol based, and evaporates quickly to prevent fluid from seeping under the sensor filter frame. It is also incredibly pure with a non-volatile residue count of 1.0 ppm to greatly reduce the possibility of residue being left behind after use.
To round out the kit you will also receive a travel friendly hard plastic case that all of the components of the Dust-Wand Kit fit into.

I had a spec of some sort of goo on my 7D's sensor. I didn't have a brush or anything to try getting it off. I tried blowing it off numerous times with no success. So I ordered the dust wand kit thinking it would be my best option to get it clean before my next shoot. Came in the mail, opened it up wiped my sensor about 5 times with the Ultra Clean liquid and it cleaned the nasty goo right off. Highly recommend this, easy to use and can be a huge help in a jam.

I bought the Dustaid wand kit based on the reviews I read here, but I wish I could have gotten the same results as the others. First of all, the cloths are too big for the wand and the clip kept falling off as my wand was about to swab the sensor. I finally got some scotch tape to wrap around it. I must have had some chamber lube on the sensor and I was really disappointed that the DustAid fluid had absolutely no effect on it. I then read an article on cleaningdigitalcameras that they tested it on oils and found that it just couldn't cut through it as well as other fluids. I've used the Dustaid adhesive on my 5D and that worked pretty well, but 7 or 8 dust specks always refused to budge so that's why I tried the wand kit. Hope you have better luck than me.Bob H.Wedding Photographer

Comments about Dust Aid Dust-Wand Kit:
I used this product as stated, but somehow my sensor became damaged and is now almost unusable.
I gave it 2 stars more for the idea of it and because others have used it successfully, but I am facing a hefty bill for repairing my 5D.
I think the main problem is that the idea of wrapping a piece of square cloth around a piece of plastic that the cloth doesn't fit, and trying to hold it in place with a piece of plastic that doesn't clip firmly into place, is fundamentally flawed.

Comments about Dust Aid Dust-Wand Kit:
I developed a large dust spot on my Canon 5D. After reading about several products and viewing a sensor cleaning guide vido on lensrentals.com, I went with just this product. I figured I could get fancy later, if needed. Assembling the wand/cloth combo took some dexterity (get someone with small hands to help you). But after that, very straightforward to use and, best of all, cleaned the sensor!

Overall this product worked well in cleaning the sensor on my Nikon D3x. It took 2-3 passes to get the dust off, but it did remove bothersome dust from the sensor. The kit come with everything required and is fairly staightforward to use.

Comments about Dust Aid Dust-Wand Kit:
I have used other kits in the past and I have to say that this kit works well. I was able to get my Nikon D3 sensor clean after three attempts and without any issues. Cleaning a sensor for the first time is nerve racking, but thereafter it's not such a big deal. It beats paying a company 60 plus dollars to do the same. I recommend this kit for any any DSLR.

-Works great!
-Cheaper than 1 professional cleaning.
-Simple to use
Read the directions thoroughly several times. Make sure you're in a clean environment. Took me a second attempt for me to get it right (use a new swap each time.) Took only seconds to complete. For the money it is worth a try.

Comments about Dust Aid Dust-Wand Kit:
I came back from deployment and noticed my sensor was not clean. I tried to contact the store I used before to clean my sensor, sorry to say they are no longer around. Ordered this after a lot of research, the ease of doing it on your own is nice. It has everything you need, to get the job done without sending it away for a small sum. I also researched on the net, they have video's on how to do it which put me at ease. It took me only about 4 minutes with no problems. The cleaner evaporates very fast so no worries about that.

Comments about Dust Aid Dust-Wand Kit:
I was scared with touching my sensor and don't like the idea of sending my camera in for professional cleaning with a wait time from a couple of days to 6 weeks. This product is easy to use and does exactly what it say. Also, the most important thing I like is the fast evaporation compared to other products.

Comments about Dust Aid Dust-Wand Kit:
This was perfect for the crud stuck to the sensor in my DSLR. The wet cleaning made removal easy because somehow the dust on the sensor was physically stuck to the sensor, and would not blow off. Everything needed is included, and it is fairly straightforward. The cloth is carefully wound around the wand and wetted with the cleaning fluid. A few swipes of the wand and your sensor is clean. The fluid evaporates rapidly and leaves no residue or odors.

I used it a couple of times and it does the job nicely. The included solution removed the oil that I managed to transfer on my sensor/filter when I swiped the swab over the edge of the sensor.

Comments about Dust Aid Dust-Wand Kit:
After being frustrated for several months with my 20D, (the felt from around my sensor has been flaking off onto my sensor) I bought the Dust Wand Kit before a trip to Mammoth Lakes. I had absolutely no problems. No constant wiping is needed, just a few swipes and it was done. I have since looked at the pictures which are great with not even the smallest spot.
Problem solved what a relief!!!!

Comments about Dust Aid Dust-Wand Kit:
I have used a number of different sensor cleaning products...including Visible Dust's products. While their products are good, I have loved the simplicity and ease of cleaning my sensor with the Dust wand kit. It is much more economical as well. Highly recommended. I have used this on a Nikon D2X and a D3.
