The Kingston 16GB SDHC Memory Card Class 4 offers larger-volume data storage and optimized recording performance with support for FAT 32 file formats. In addition, this card complies with Kingston's Class 4 speed rating, which means that the card provides a minimum data transfer rate of 4MB/sec. for optimum performance in professional cameras and other high performance devices.
- The Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) Card Type
- Although apparently identical to standard SD cards, SDHC cards are designed differently and are only recognized by SDHC host devices. To ensure compatibility, look for the SDHC logo on cards and host devices.
- Kingston's Class Rating System
- Kingston's SDHC cards use the Kingston "Class" speed ratings. These ratings include Class 2, which provides a minimum data transfer rate of 2MB/second, Class 4, which provides a minimum data transfer rate of 4MB/second, and Class 6, which provides a minimum data transfer rate of 6MB/second.

I use this card in my HD camcorder. Work well, no issues with formatting or storing data on the card.
I have faced one issue with this card. When I stick it in my HD TV, I have a hard time getting the card out. Normally one has to push the card in a little bit, and the spring mechanism pushes the card out for removal. With this card, I have had to get my fine screwdriver to gently ease the card out.
All other cards work OK, so I know I dont have a problem with the card reader socket or its spring mechanism.
I haven't had the card for too long, so cannot comment on its data retention capabilitites.

This card is very fast. No dropped frames when recording HD video on my GOPro. Don't make the mistake of buying a cheaper (slower) SD card. You will be waiting seconds between taking still shots. Waiting for the card to write.

This takes awesome close up photos using macro lens...clarity is excellent and when you enlarge that's when you really see the difference. My scenery photos have been breathtaking with the colors just so vibrant. I just can't tell you how pleased I have been so far. I haven't found any downsides so far. I found it a great value.
