When I wanted a good camera, I got it when I bought this Canon. It has tons of features, and feels awesome. It is small, but it is jam packed with everything I needed at the time and more!

There are even lots of effects, such as B/W, Sepia, fading, and more!

The pictures it takes are kind of lame, but it somes with one that takes something like 3 pictures a second for as long as you want, so if you need to catch the action (E.X. BMX Biker), you got it.

The film quality is really good, full screen wise, and the mannuel controls are amazing. The zoom, when on a tripod, can go so far it's amazing!

This is a Great camcorder!

I've used this camera to take video of my son's baseball practice, a kids soccer game, a message to friends over seas and a wedding reception. I've taken pictures of my son, me, friends, team pictures, and wedding reception events, items, and people in attendance. This camera is excellant!!!! It is light weight, easy to use, and a beautiful color. The picture quality and color on the view screen is beyond belief. The best thing of all is that I priced this camera at other locations and this was the best price I found. It was here in under a week, too.

I am using this camera to shoot short clips of my friends, nature, and events.

This camera is small, fast, and easy to use. The quick start function is nice. The SD memory is convent for moving the movies to your computer. The image quality is good for a non HD camcorder.

Just beginning my experience with this device. The large screen and the awesome magnification allow for some unbelievable shots. Mac users need to have the most up to date version of Life 'o8 and associated OS X upgrades to use the USB download cable and iMovie. I have not installed the Canon software as prior use leads me to expect it to be cumbersome to navigate.
This camera is so compact that I expect I'll soon stop carrying my regular digital camera at all.
Anyone anticipating taking shots at the upper end of the magnification scale will quickly discover the need for a tripod or be forced to swear off coffee for life.

I needed a reliable consumer camcorder for family memories and the FS100 certainly fits the bill. It's small, lightweight and takes more than decent videos. Before purchasing this camera I had tried out Canon's newest HD offering, the HF10, and, while the video quality was FAR superior in the camera, getting the footage off the camera, and onto DVDs proved far too time (and hard drive) consuming, especially on a mac. The FS100, by contrast, was a perfect balance of size, quality, and ease of operation. Don't expect to be blown away by the video quality, but it can certainly rival any consumer DV tape camera that you've ever owned.
