The black FlashKeeper from LensCoat is a neoprene pouch with touch fastener closure made to protect a flash unit from nicks and scratches during transport. An exterior pocket accommodates up to eight AA batteries. The 1.0" wide belt loop can be used to secure the FlashKeeper to a belt or belt system; the pouch also comes with a heavy-duty snap hook to clip onto your belt, jacket, or camera bag. This version comes in a matte all-black finish to better blend in where desirable. Or, it can be used just for its protection value.

I bought this to protect my flash when stored in a LowePro Field Series backpack and also when used on various similar belt and Molle compatible rigs. I've been looking for something like this pouch for my flash and was really happy when I found this one. It will meet all of my needs, which includes a lot of field uses.

Breat idea, could be sturdier
I was expecting something a little less flimsy. Then again, we are talking neoprene.

I liked it enough to keep it but would have liked complete coverage, especially at the edges to resist dust and dirt better.

I recently bought an LP160 and it didnt come with any kind of protective case. I looked around for something to keep it in and ordered this. It fits perfectly.

Great for protecting my full sized flash in my backpack. Prefer it to the manufactures case.

Not only is this bag a useful flash bag, with the built in clip it allows the use of a smaller bag, as well you can switch it out and use it for a telephoto lens for the day. (Say for hiking?) Love it

Bought it together with a Nikin SB 900; did not know that the SB 900 comes with its own holster (which is better than this one). I use it for holding lens, but it's not wide enough.

It's very handy to carry my Canon 580 EX flash along with extra batteries in the field. Haven't tried it with the 580 EXII yet. I solved the loose fit by putting the Canon case in the flash keeper. It's a tighter fit and gives more protection. These flash keepers could be used to carry other things as well.

Been using the FlashKeeper for several months now. Well made like all LensCoat products. Convenient extra pockets for flash cards etc. Better than the original pouch my Canon 580EX came with.

I've added this to my long list of Lenscoat products that I own. This one works great for me when I travel as it is snug yet protects the flash head.

Comments about LensCoat FlashKeeper (Black):
Most products from LensCoat are pretty good and I have several other items I'm very pleased with. However this was very dissapointing. Although my canon 580-EX Speedlite fits inside, the fitting is so loose it can easily fall out and it is ridiculously big at the wide end. Being made of stretchy neoprene I would have thought these would be a snug fit. There's no pocket for the stand either. Unless your flash is significantly larger than a 580 forget this one.

I wanted a flash protector with a belt loop. I own Canon equipment, so I had to buy one because Canon doesn't put one on! Hello, Canon ... anyone listening?
