The black LensCoat BodyBag from LensCoat is a camera body pouch made from soft shock-absorbing neoprene, protecting a digital SLR camera body from the nicks, dings and scratches of accidental impact. It also keeps the camera body free from dust and dirt and protects it from the elements.
The BodyBag has touch fastener closure that makes storage and access quick and easy. It is designed to fit prosumer bodies without the optional body grip installed. This version comes in a matte all-black finish to better blend in where desirable. Or, it can be used just for its protection value.

After getting new camera gear, I wanted that extra protection for my stuff. This is a light, easy to remove cover for the body only that prevents against nicks and scratches. Doesn't fit the body tight like a glove - a little loose. But the first time having one - will always have one from now on.

Comments about LensCoat BodyBag (Black):
I ordered this as the recommended bag for protection for my new Lumix GF-2. I had to return it...way too large for the camera with 14mm lens. Neoprene was thin.

Comments about LensCoat BodyBag (Black):
Does what its supposed to - protect a body. Fits fairly snug on a Canon 7D and helps offer a little impact and scratch protection when loaded in a non-camera specific backpack.

Compact and made well.
I wish I had got the version that also fits a lens...

This BodyBag makes taking my 5D2 in my briefcase worry free. One lens in a case and the BodyBag... I have a compact solution for combining a business trip and some street photography out of one bag. Why didn't I buy this sooner?

I have 2 of these BodyBags. I keep my 5D in the black one and 5DII in the digital camo so i can quickly tell them apart. The bags offer great protection and fit perfectly.

Comments about LensCoat BodyBag (Black):
Protects the camera body from minor bumps and bruises. I used this in conjunction with Mountainsmith LC2 lens cases in a backpack. By itself it does not offer great impact protection.

It fits on well, however, some parts of my Canon 7D are exposed.

Convenient, lightweight, protective & squish-able. So much better than those heavy camera bags. Particularly appreciate the small zippered pocket on the outside for extra cards & batteries.

good shelter, but: actually only for cameras without battery box suitably because a little bit small - therefore only 4 stars

This is a tight fit but is perfect to carry around just as basic protection. Very light weight.

I have 2 of these, one for my Canon 40D and one for my Canon 5D MK II. They provide just a little extra protection against minor bumps and dings-especially for the LCD. I've been happy with all my LensCoat items.

Comments about LensCoat BodyBag (Black):
I was looking for a "second skin" for my new camera that would protect it from scratches while in transport. This body bag does the trick. It's not too tight, just enough space. I'm pleased with my purchase for the modest price. Please note: this bag is for the body only, without lense attached.

I needed protection for my Pentax K200D with DA 40 pancake lens attached. The LensCoat fits just fine. Quality product. I only wish there were solid colors to choose from.

Great for business travel! I carry my camera and lense seperate in my computer bag. When a great shot comes along easy to take the body out of the bag and attach lens. Exact product I needed for travel.

Comments about LensCoat BodyBag (Black):
In the past when I traveled I had to wrap my camera body in bubble wrap. This took up a lot of room in my luggage, especially when traveling out of the country. The LensCoat Body Bag is a great way to pack my gear. It protects my SLR camera from dings and scratches and does not take up much room in my suitcase.
