The Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter from Linksys allows you to add any standard wired Ethernet device to a wireless network. The bridge operates without the need for any drivers, allowing you to use it with any type of Ethernet device. It is designed for use with game consoles. It's dual-band 802.11n interface is also compatible with 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g devices. The bridge is a simple and easy way to connect any standard Ethernet device to your wireless network.

This thing is amazing! I use it upstairs (about 200 feet away from router, and through six walls) Right now its plugged into a wired router. It provides internet to my desktop, my friends desktop, my laptop, and my xbox 360 all at the same time. It is not meant for so many devices, but it works just fine (Not sure if it will work as well on a G or B network I use N) The configuration CD is junk! I use windows vista and windows 7, and it didn't work on either.
I had to contact linksys and they gave me the address of the configuration page. It varies from device to device, but the most common seems to be 192.168.1.250
Just type that into your internet address bar, and you will be able to select the network you want to use, it's very easy to use.
The easiest way to configure it is through your console! I was able to select the network, put in the passwords etc. through my Xbox. Probably will work fine for PS2/PS3
This is a cheap alternative to the Wireless N PCI desktop card, and it works much better then the card does!

The box works great when it's in the same room as my wireless access point. I set it up about 75 feet away and it doesn't even show my network in the list of available networks. I have my laptop sitting right next to it, and it is connected wirelessly showing 3/5 bars in the signal strength. Yet the Gaming Adaptor will not connect. I know it's configured correctly because it will connect when its 10 feet from the WAP. I guess I'll have to return it. I can't use it if it won't span the distance. Based on the other reviews, I'm the only one experiencing this problem, so maybe it's just defective.

Don't let this fisrt sentense deter you from looking further into this product.
First off, the instrucation that come with this device are about worthless. I would suggest looking up the intructions on Linksys's website before setting the bridge up. Also, you should either have the instuction up on a computer connected to the internet or if they available for download, download them because you are required to plug in the bridge to your NIC (Network Interface Card)and set a static IP address on your NIC in order to setup this bridge.(NOTE: Make sure you set your NIC to DHCP/Automaticly Assign IP before you connect it back to your router otherwise you will not get back on the internet.)
Once I figured out how to set the bridge up, it has work flawlessly since. I would also suggest upgrading the firmware to the last Linksys has on either site.

I am using the product to connect a DirecTV DVR to my broadband connection via my wireless N router/access point and I actually had to locate this adapter in the opposite corner of a 3-story house. Even with a NetGear router and WAP security in place, set up of the device using the DVR was as easy as DirecTV advertised and the connection is amazingly consistent.

I bought this game adapter to use with my PS3 console. Not for games, but to stream 1080p content over wi-fi. I have the 610N router from linksys and they work together like a charm (as expected). Configuration was very easy. I read over the net that if you do not have a linksys router configuration is somehow difficult. If you are a more advanced user you can access the adapter url and configure it easily. Other than that no problems
