Bought this for iPod Touch for use in the kitchen. Sounds great, and can attach any digital music player via input jack in the back.
Only issue is minor - can't stick the iPod in when it has a silicone case on.

Most iPOD docks try to do everything. This does one thing very well - plays sound from an iPod while charging the iPod. It's highly simple, yet elegant, in appearance and has only two controls: on-off and volume. It's compact with a clever folding base and a small power brick. We use it to listen to music in the kitchen. It fits in readily on a crowded counter and produces very good sound - not overwhelming in volume, but we don't want overwhelming. Sound quality for classical music is very good.

We were expecting our first baby and wanted an affordable dock to play music for the little one. We had been living in music silence for way too long and we enjoy it even more for our music. Excellent sound quality and well worth the purchase.

i wanted something small that sounded good. I read many reviews and for what you pay this system is perfect. easily transportable, not complicated at all, on/off and volume controls, that's it. it's not a Bose but then neither is the price.

I use these speakers with my old ipod (4th Generation, click wheel). I bought them mostly to take on vacation and I am really impressed with the performance so far. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and wasn't concerned about lots of bells & whistles so these fit the bill perfectly. They are loud enough that I could plug into the wall inside the cabin and hear them clearly out on the porch. I also like the ability to use the battery power and bring the speakers wherever I want them.
I haven't had them for very long so I can't comment on durability or reliability over time.
I would recommend these to anyone looking for a basic, easy-to-use, reasonably priced set of portable speakers.
