Comments about Linksys Wireless-G Internet Video Camera:
Great product that works as advertised. The setup utility disc is useless as I use a Mac network. With a little effort the camera was setup and broadcasting within minutes using a static IP through my linksys router. There was a little more effor expended getting the camera to connect through my airport base station but once added to the mac address permissions worked flawlessly. The only shortcoming I can see with the camera is no sound on Mac browsers and the camera needs ample supply of light to produce a good image. Just the light from a window into a room produces a dark image but a typical 60w lamp will permit a good image to be captured. For [$] shipped you can't expect a night vision camera.Additional setup information was obtained online through reviews of this camera. I highly recommend following this advice to set up the camera but the review system B&H has calls for no links to be posted. The link to this will be easily found through your favorite search engine.I've recommended this camera to a family member as well as my employer and will recommend it to prospective buyers that need a simple internet camera monitoring solution. Just don't expect dazzling images in low to moderate lighting conditions.

I mounted this product outside under my porch watching my front door and the porch. I had this product setup and mount within 15 minutes.

Comments about Linksys Wireless-G Internet Video Camera:
The software is buggy and fails to deliver on the simple task of showing me videos from while I was gone. I cannot set up the camera to my D-Link router wirelessly, and it works poorly even if connected to the router directly. I have had it for about 2 months and I have yet to get it working. [...] I wouldn't reccomend this.

Comments about Linksys Wireless-G Internet Video Camera:
I have purchased a number of Linksys products over the years and have had only good experiences with them all. On the few occasions where I needed a bit of guidance their Tech Support was excellent. I expected nothing less when I bought this webcam but I was in for a shock. Camera setup for continuous mode was quite easy but after only a few hours of recording to my hard drive it became intermittent with long periods when nothing was recorded. Setup for Detection Mode does not seem to allow for recoding to the hard drive, the choices are limited to sending a clip by e-mail or making an FTP connection. Linksys seems to have now outsourced it's Tech Support to Asia. I had great difficulty in understanding the support staff . The first one I got put me on hold for 15 minutes after which I hung up and called again. The second one did not seem familiar with the camera at all and had to repeatedly put me on hold to 'go and check something'. He was not able to resolve any of the problems after over an hour on the phone and ended up telling me that a higher level tech would e-mail or call me in 24-36 hours. By the time I did get a call back from Linksys three weeks had passed and by then I had returned the defective camera to the vendor. I will not be so willing to buy Linksys products in the future.
