Comments about Manfrotto 003 Backlight Stand, Black - Base with Spigot:
Well-made and sturdy. I'm hoping to utilize this as a fill flash holder for when I shoot teams in the bright AZ sun! Should be perfect for getting the light low enough to put some light under baseball hats. It's exactly what I've been looking for! [...]Good purchase so far at leat!

Comments about Manfrotto 003 Backlight Stand, Black - Base with Spigot:
I use this with the two below items to make a portable, compact, covert travel tripod. You can take it into places the conventional tripod isn't allowed. Also small enough to fit in a small camera bag to setup a tripod for low level shooting. Many applications that you can use this on.

I use these to hold SB900's which fill in the shadows of portraits shot against green screen backdrops. They are very portable, well made and extremely convenient.

Comments about Manfrotto 003 Backlight Stand, Black - Base with Spigot:
Very solid and extremely simple construction. There is not much that can go wrong with this stand, and it folds up easily for transport/storage. It goes well with my Manfrotto compact light stand and easily fits in Pelican 1510 & 1610 cases. It's a little heavier than I expected, since the legs are solid metal, but it's not "heavy."

A nice stand for Manfrotto Magic Arm for light weight usage like a strobe or lighter camera.

Comments about Manfrotto 003 Backlight Stand, Black - Base with Spigot:
I use this for background lighting or other uses where lowest possible fixture placement is needed. Folds and stores easily, though perhaps too easily. In my experience the tripod legs can fold together at unwanted times. I sometimes resort to cable ties to keep them unfolded, which I find a bit kludgey. I would recommend it with these caveats.

Used to hide the background illunination light. I get the effect without the stand infringing on the composition. Works well!

Comments about Manfrotto 003 Backlight Stand, Black - Base with Spigot:
Perfect because I like to be able to Photoshop the light head and stand out and with such low profile legs it easily disappears with on stroke. Folds up nicely. probably gonna get the extension pole just because sometimes i like to have the background light up higher.
