Manfrotto 025BS Super Boom with 008BU Stand - Black
The Manfrotto 025BS Super Boom features coaxial geared controls at the end of the boom, which permits movement of 180°.
The 008BU (a.k.a 3071B) two section stand has black painted aluminum construction, with wheels. The stand section supports light fixture loads up to 66 lbs (30kg), to a maximum height of 7' (2.1 m). The boom supports loads of up to 15 lbs (6.8kg) fully extended.
- Double leg bracing provides extra stability, giving the stand more strength
- Fitted with a universal mount with 1 1/8" (28mm) Junior socket plus either 5/8" socket or "pop-up" 5/8" Baby spigot
- One leg section may be independently extended to level the lightstand on uneven terrain.
- This stand and boom are black painted aluminum.

A great boom with mobility, versatility and ease of control. The Manfrotto Super Boom and combined 008BU Stand on wheels with bottom-end crank handles controlling the head is a great asset to any studio that permits room for this unit to roam. The counter weight is easy to adjust accommodating for varying flash heads with light modifiers. One could easily justify the usefulness of multiple units in a studio if the room permits.

It is actually so much easier to adjust the light, that this stand has made me a better photographer.
I have never spent more then 160.00 bucks on a boom and thought it time to give this a try. Not only did it make my daily life easier and less chaotic, it straight made me take better pictures. It made me throw the lights around in different positions that I wouldn't have tried because of how much time it takes.
The only con is that my studio is much more long then wide... The boom arm is a hair over 8 ft long and then add the light to the end. This stand was created for a studio and for a decent sized one.

This is great peace and very helpful in my studio. Geared controls is a must and it's so easy to use. Very solid heavy duty stand.

Main usage is for hair lighting. Controlling the monolight remotely is worth the price of admission alone, compared to having to get up on a ladder each time too adjust the light. Was considering making my own kit with a slightly heavier duty Avenger Stand and non-adjustable boom arm but glad I didn't. This unit has been extremely well thought out and the individual pieces compromise to make an outstanding, well balanced kit. If you have a need for this setup, then I can easily recommend this unit.
