With the JVC CU-VD3 Everio SHARE STATION you can connect directly to an optional CU-VD3 via USB 2.0 to burn your recorded data to a DVD-Video disc. Burning operations are controlled from the Everio itself or by its remote. The camcorder converts Everio MOD files to the DVD Video format. The SHARE STATION then creates identical discs without losing any picture quality that can be played on most DVD players.
You can operate with the remote and the camcorder attached to a TV or by the camcorder and LCD screen; in just a few steps and your DVDs are done.

Seems to burn DVD from my JVC HD 300 Everio camcorder. [@]In the first place, you have to save only in XP form. If you record in UXP form, it will not discover those files when you plug your camcorder into the CU-VD3. So I was forced to record in the non-optimal XP format. In addition, the recorded DVD could not be played on my SONY DVD player or even in the XBOX. I had to use that CU-VD3 plugged into the Everio and from that to my TV to play back. It really is useless, waste of money.

Made some quick vids so far. Looking forward to filming some holiday highlights and sending a copy home with the family.
Make sure to purchase the separate USB cable to connect to the computer if you want to do any editing!

We have used this product to make DVD's after capturing football game video on the camera. We have over 150 titles/chapters on each DVD. The share station makes the DVD with easy and we are then able to make multiple copies of our game tape. It is very nice because it takes the computer out of the equation.

So much easier than using the software included with the camera. Takes less than 30 min. to download a complete DVD. When you have 30G to download, that's a real bonus!Found no cons.[...]

I use the CUVD3 Burner to download my hard drive
camera when it gets full. I needed a compact burner to fit in a camera bag for travel to Alaska. The burner lets you download to a dvd disk so you can empty your hard drive on your camera and start again. This burner fits my needs and I am pleased with its quick download response.
