The Canon EP-EX15 II Eyepiece Extender provides a 5/8" (15mm) extension of the cameras eyepiece away from the camera body and reduces the camera's viewfinder magnification by 30%. It is particularly useful for eyeglass wearers and prevents a user's face or nose from touching the camera body or LCD display.

Simply a necessity if you do not like to bang your nose in to the LCD screen and to leave smudges - unless you have a really big nose !
Go for it !
Note: will not fit XTi,20D, 30D, 40D and the latest 50D.
If you have one of these, you will need the same part number but without the extension of the roman two.
For these cameras check the EP-EX15 Eyepiece Extender.

Compared to the EP-EX15, this extender is smaller overall. When added between the body (of a 30D or 40D) and the eyecup, this piece is quite a bit smaller than the eyecup.
The EP-EX15 sits flush to the body as well as the eyecup but the EP-EX15 II seems to be just too small. Seems to function identically between the two versions.
If asthetics is a concern, you may want to consider the EP-EX15 if you have a 30D or 40D.

I have just fitted this to my 60D and it is certainly a help since I am short-sighted and wear glasses.
I had trouble viewing the whole viewfinder at once and the reduction in magnification from this eyepiece is a help - I can see it all more easily.

Comments about EP-EX15 II Eyepiece Extender for Select Canon DSLRs:
I purchased this extender to keep my face from jamming against the camera monitor when taking shots. It was easy to install and is much more comfortable with the extender. My vision is not perfect so I worried that I might have to remove the glass pieces in the extender (as described by some reviewers), but found it did not degrade 'through the viewfinder' vision at all. It has improved my experience with the camera.

I thought I'd try this because several times I have accidently bumped the "Live View" button when I was about to take my photo. The extender thakes very little room but gives just enough extra space to avoid hitting the live view button now, or having to mash my cheek and nose against the viewing screen.

Serves it's purpose but I had to remove the inner glass to make it usable. Having the image shrunk 30% wasn't working for me. The extender does allow for the wearing of glasses which is a nice change of pace. Overall, I'd but it again.

i love my 60D,especially the articulating display. but that same blessing is a bit of a curse. the extra 1/4 inch or so that it protrudes from the body means you rub your greasy face all over it. this extender fixed that issue perfectly.

Comments about EP-EX15 II Eyepiece Extender for Select Canon DSLRs:
As far as the product goes it fits and works exactly as it should. I wear glasses so I hoped this would help me see the whole viewfinder image and it does...just a smaller version. It does keep my nose off the screen and seems to give me a quicker focus time when I pull the camera up to my face. The jury is still out on whether or not I will keep it on.
I did try taking the glass out, as some have suggested, but found that it is there for a reason. When I did that I could not see the shooting info at the bottom at all...therefore defeating the purpose. My star rating is based on the fit, construction and whether or not it does what it says it does.

I by no means have a big nose, but I was tired of it being smashed up against the LCD when I tried to look through the eyepiece. This is the perfect extender to give my little nose the space it needs.

Fits and looks great on my Canon 60D. This is a good addition to any camera if you use the viewfinder a lot. Helps to keep from smudging the LCD display. Also if you have a Delkin snug-it pro skin on your camera it makes it easier to cover the eyepiece during bulb and long exposures.

I dont have to worry about wearing my readers to see the numbers...this does the job beautifully...I bought to extend camera from the face because it was a little awkward tilting face due to nose touching camera. Got 2 birds with 1 stone...just awesome...easy to put on then put the piece that came with camera right over for extra extension and storage...BandH recommendation.

I'm glad I added this to my camera. I have a larger nose, so this does a great job of keeping it off the camera and screen. It's a must for all long nosed camera users.

I really like this eyepiece. It's nice because I wear glasses. It mounts securely to the camera but the original eyepiece from the camera that mounts to it doesn't mount so securely. I like it enough to use it thus far.

After 2 years of dealing with nose smudges and fogged glasses I discovered the eye piece extender. I had a hood man eye piece for glasses but it limited the use of the swivle screen on my 60-d. I'm so glad I took a chance and got this device. I have no complaints, fits my camera and solved my problems. I have noticed no difference in view finder magnification. I would recommend to any one who wears glasses to shoot.
