The Allen & Heath iDR-4 Mixing Processor revolutionizes the sound reinforcement mixing environment, by incorporating a fully functional 16 x 16 mixing matrix with DSP, in a single-space, rack-mounted unit. The iDR-4 is literally designed to operate as a stand-alone device, or to be at the heart of complex sound reinforcement systems that communicate via TCP/IP Ethernet channels.
The iDR-4 has a total of six balanced audio inputs, including two XLR analog mic/line inputs and four TRS phone line inputs. It has six balanced audio outputs including four XLR analog outputs and two TRS phone line outputs. Two additional Cat-5 connections provide eight digital inputs and outputs each.
The front panel provides access to all of the unit's DSP functions. Among the DSP features are input & output delays, 4- and 8-band parametric EQ, automatic microphone mixing, frequency conscious dynamics, look-ahead limiter, ambient noise compensator, crossfader and much more. The iDR-4 can even be operated remotely via PC when installed in complex sound reinforcement systems.
