The 250 GB d2 SATA II 3Gbits External Hard Drive from LaCie is a high-capacity drive with an interface that allows it to be connected via eSATA II and a rotation speed of 7200 rpm. The drive features a large 16 MB cache, an ultra-quiet design and sustained transfer speeds of up to 90 MB/sec. The drive is an excellent solution for video editing, high-resolution imaging, data backup or general storage.

250 GB Capacity
250 GB of capacity allows for storage of approximately 18.75 hours of uncompressed DV digital video, the equivalent of 53 4.7 GB DVD video discs or up to 62,500 MP3 files.
eSATA Interface
The drive easily connects to any computer with an eSATA II interface. The eSATA II interface allows for bus transfer speeds of up to 300 MB/sec. The drive itself is capable of sustaining transfer rates of up to 85 MB/sec.
Hot-Swappable
The drive is hot-swappable and plug-and-play, so there is no need to turn off your computer while connecting or disconnecting it.
Compact Size
The drive's 6.3 x 6.8 x 1.7" footprint makes it ideal for users with limited desk space.
