Enough connections for almost any amateur or simple professional use. Easy connection to PC via the USB connection. I am still learning to use the FX feature of this product.

Comments about Allen & Heath ZED12FX - 12-Channel Recording Mixer with USB Connection and Effects:
Given its practical price point, this mixer sound incerdible!
I use to use othermixrs such as mackie 802; however, the Allen and Heath excels when it comes to quality of build and the effects (verbs..etc) It has the same DuoPre mic preamps, MusiQ EQ and high-quality digital effects engine as the larger models. Having had an opportunity to use the zed12FX now for the past few weeks, I am reassured in my decision that this was a very good purchase which i am sure will last me for quite a long time. Sanjiv A. Comments about Allen & Heath ZED12FX - 12-Channel Recording Mixer with USB Connection and Effects:
The ZED12FX is a great little mixer to mix solo, duo or trio bands. I have not used it for recording, but have mixed live shows on it. The FX options are varied and offer adjustments that most other FX-included mixers don't have... and they all sound pretty good, as well! It seems the head amps (gain control) have to be pushed pretty hard to get a solid level out of them, but the audio signal is clean and the EQ section (with sweep-able mids!) is effective. If you don't want to drag out your 16- or 32-channel mixer to mix a small band, you won't do wrong with the ZED12FX.

Comments about Allen & Heath ZED12FX - 12-Channel Recording Mixer with USB Connection and Effects:
I purchased this as a small back up mixer for my larger A&H Mixwiz 16. Obviously it isn't the same as the larger Mixwiz's, but as a backup (for 6 mics) and a small rig for acoustic gigs it is money well spent. It works quite well, plus you can single click a 1/4 plug into the channel S/R loop and get a direct out of each channel(not documented). The effects sound good enough for what they are.. I really think this unit is a good value for the money
