This is an excellent light weight case that I will use for overseas travel. It is just big enough for the camera, battery charger, remote, an extra cable, an external mic, and a few other accessories. It also has a slot on the back to hold the case on a wheeled suitcase (not many cam cases seem to have this feature). The improvements need to be made in the bottom of the case, which needs a rigid bottom to prevent sagging and a little extra padding. I will supplement with 1/4 inch closed cell foam. (found by the foot at many hardware stores). This case has hard moulded foam ends which are great protection against front end bumps when carring the bag over the shoulders. The shoulder pad looks uncomfortable but is actually very cush, holds it's shape, and doesn't easily slide off of your shoulders. The case should be 1" taller to accommodate, the addition of some 1/4" rigid material, and an additional 1/4" foam on the bottom. This will allow another 1/2 in for a little more leeway when the camera has an external mic attached. Will use this bag despite these suggested improvements as it is otherwise very well made, is the lightest bag of its type on the market and has the thermal protection I will need in hot climes.

Good Case for Smaller Cameras
This is a good case for the smaller sets of cameras such as the Sony A1. Too small for the standard prosumer cameras of today though.

Comments about Kata CC-192 GDC HDV Case:
Love the yellow interior (easy to spot things). Compact. Lightweight. Could use a few more exterior pockets and would have liked the accessory kit for creating compartments to be included but overall a great case. Great to haul and go. Perfect size for airlines. Can strap to back of my bike too.

Comments about Kata CC-192 GDC HDV Case:
Nice and it's stiff as a corpse. Should do the job protecting Canon XH-A1s. Oh so funky smell at 1st but will disappear after a few weeks. Skimpy, VERY SKIMPY, on dividers provided - 1 long, 1 short - but had others I used from various bags.

Comments about Kata CC-192 GDC HDV Case:
I currently own three CC-193 and one CC-195 KATA bags. In darker environments, the yellow interior can be a lifesaver. Especially when the flashlight is lost.Anyway, the CC-192 was included in a SONY HVR-Z7U HDV Camcorder package. It is a great bag, but I felt just a bit snug for the Sony. Yes, it will fit. However, every videographer tends to 'overstuff' cases . . . . and I'm head of the class! [...]You can't miss with this series of camcorder cases.[...]

I purchased this case on a hurry, going to Cuba by the next day with my NX5U and wow, I made the correct election. Enough protection to my camera, a lot of traveling on an island where humidity never drop 70% and the camera returned safe and working. Solid protection.

Comments about Kata CC-192 GDC HDV Case:
I bought this for my Panasonic 150. It's a very nice, quality bag. Only trouble is that it isn't quite wide enough if you add accessories to your camera, ie. a bracket, wireless system. I'll probably go with the 193 for my 2nd bag.

Comments about Kata CC-192 GDC HDV Case:
Kata makes great products. The bag is sturdy and as advertised. In retrospect I should have gone with a wider bag to accommodate leaving my shotgun mic on the Sony Z5u. I miscalculated regarding the width needed for doing this.

Comments about Kata CC-192 GDC HDV Case:
My EX1 XDCAM EX camera is well protected by the solid exterior and thick dividers inside. I have the camera, remote, three batteries, and two AC adapters inside the main compartment. I have manuals in the side compartment. A strap secures the EX1 to the bottom of the case. I could fit more in if I wasn't concerned about keeping my gear in pristine condition.
Things that could be improved? I'd have liked a few more dividers. I used a couple left over dividers from another case to create enclosed compartments for the batteries and adapters so they're not flying around inside the case when I drop it in a box and ship it to location. (This would be unnecessary for just carrying it around.) I also don't like the fact that the connectors for the tie-down strap are hard and rub against the side of the EX1. I put a microfiber towel between the camera and the strap to insure against abrasion.
