A great quality product that lives up to expectations and beyond. The adaptable strut makes any ball head choice a great option as it allows more flexability than just being a vertical stand. It sits well on various surfaces (that I have tried including soft grass) is easy to setup and so light I even kept it on the camera for a night-shoot journey for over 3 hours.

The build quality of this tripod is exceptional. It feels sturdy and safe. Using it currently with my D70 and 18-200 lens. Purchased the Manfrotto 327RC2 ball head which compliments it perfectly. Highly recommended.

Very easy to use and compact. It does have a lot of flex so for video work which I sometimes call on it for it's a bit of a challenge.

This tripod is perfect for those who travel often by air. Remove the head (I use the 322RC2) and it fits in your carry-on with ease. Remove the center column if you need, to make it fit into an even smaller carry-on bag. It's light weight so it helps stay under the weight threshold, but strong and steady to hold anything I put on it. It extends as high as you could expect it to, considering it's compact nature. The center column can be secured at a 90 degree angle for special applications which has come in handy. I notice this latest version (I bought one back in 2009 which was recently stolen) does not have the rubber protective caps over the adjustment bolts that the earlier version had. Several of those had popped off my original tripod, so I don't know if not having them is a good or bad change.

A beautiful work of art with a gitzo head. I am more than satisfied with the tripod. Its packs small and light. This is a good thing because i hate go out in the public with a big old aluminum tripod. I draw too much attention to myself and good shots become hard when people are staring at you instead of continuing on with their lives. Thats when you get good shots.

I chose this model for the carbon fiber weight factor and it is as I expected. This tripod is easy to use and setup and with the light weight feature, it is perfect for the travel, backpacker or general use photographer. I purchased the RC2 Joystick head to compliment the tripod and it works perfectly with this unit to provide an all around excellent product. I am very satisfied with the Manfrotto products.

Pros -

Extremely light - lighter than my previous 6 pounder!

Compact - although light, it is compact and folds up small. I also purchased a carrying bag to hold it.

Strong & Sturdy - although light, it stands strong, but I haven't tested it in windy situation yet.

Nice look - looks stylish and beautiful.

Versatile in many ways - legs can be extended in different angles as well as the center column.

Cons -
Can't think of anything yet.

stable, lightweight, collapsible to an acceptable height especially for traveling. 1 and only issue is if you don't have a ball-head (which 99% of people who uses tripods will use a ball-head), you can only pan left or right, no up and down movement without a ball-head add-on.

The only think better is A LOT more money. This is a nice workhorse tripod with a nice light weight due to the carbon fiber. I like the locking mechanics on the legs. The whole thing feels really solid and I'm happy that it is made in Italy instead of [*]

This is a very sturdy tripod for being so light. I fly international flight when I travel so I'm always looking for ways to lighten how I travel and this really helps.

This is a fantatic sturdy tripod that folds small and is light to pack. The center fold over for low ground macro photos and is extremely stable.

This was the most expensive carbon fiber tripod that I can afford, but I found that with the center column extended just a little bit, that it was too shaky, even with a Canon rebel with 55mm lens.

I bought the 190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber Tripod with the 054 Magnesium Ball Head with Q2 QR, the MBAG70N Unpadded Tripod Bag, and an extra 200PL-14 Quick Release Plate. I am absolutely thrilled with everything I bought.

I have an old and trusty Bogen 3221Pro aluminum tripod that will last longer than I will. The trouble is that it's too big and too heavy to travel with or carry any distance. This new setup, at 4.3 lbs. (with head), must be half the weight and it is much more compact. A great tripod setup that is too heavy gets left home too many times. This setup will travel with me everywhere.

For still photography, I would highly recommend the Manfrotto head I bought. It is designed for the 190CXPRO4 Carbon Fiber and is a joy to use. The magnesium construction makes it expensive, but it makes a difference in overall balance with the light weight legs. Both the tripod and the head have bubble levels. I level out the tripod first, then the ball head (if I want a level shot) and then add in the built in level on my Canon 60D. With such a light setup, you want your gear leveled so that it doesn't fall over for being off balance. The controls on both the head and tripod are really nice – precise and firm at the same time.

The bag I bought is a nice addition. It's just the right size for this tripod and head. With more than $500 worth of tripod gear, I thought it would make sense to try to protect it all. There is extra room for a monopod if needed.

Throw in an extra quick release plate for another camera or telephoto lens and there you have it. I'm happy with this setup.

This is my first tripod so I don't own anything to compare to but it works great for me. Been using it with my Canon XSI/24-70. Mainly bought it for low light landscape scenery. I got a Manfrotto 494 Mini Ball Head w/RC2 QR Plate to use with it. Seems to be a good combo for travel.

I got the Manfrotto 25" Tripod Bag to carry it around. The bag is a little loose diameter wise but it will work for now. Folded it could fit in something with alittle over 4" in diam. and 24.5" in lenght with the 494.
