Comments about Gitzo GC-1100 Padded Tripod Bag:
Inside the padded, rugged nylon shell, my GT2541 fits perfectly with a Markins Q10 ball head attached. There is a small zip pocket inside, and a velcro tab covered window for an ID on the outside. I personally wish the Gitzo logo weren't so prominent on the outside (2 sewn labels and imprinted on a little strap at the end of the bag) but I will likely remove or cover them. The bag is extremely comfortable to carry and has handles along with a shoulder strap and hand-grap strap at the end. Smooth, strong zipper in blue contrasts nicely and in a subtle way with the black bag.

Comments about Gitzo GC-1100 Padded Tripod Bag:
It looked like from the specs the Gitzo bag made for the traveler tripod would be too small for the 1542 model so tried this case and it is pretty much a perfect fit. I have a RRS BH-30 LR-II head mounted and it fits the case with 2-3 inches of space left in length. That is with the tripod not folded in the traveler mode. The diameter just fits the tripod, would not want it any less. It looks well made so should last thru many years of hikes. It is padded well enough it should provide plenty of protection when on my van floor with other travel gear.

Comments about Gitzo GC-1100 Padded Tripod Bag:
This works great to hold my 1541 tripod. I wish it was slightly longer as it is not long enough to accomodate a ballhead on it and still fit in the bag.

Comments about Gitzo GC-1100 Padded Tripod Bag:
Length would be perfect and I have an older Gitzo bag that is fine - I guess they no longer make them like that - this is a very small diameter bag. I had to return it and order a Bogen bag that hopefully be a better fit.
Too bad because the quality of these bags is great.

Comments about Gitzo GC-1100 Padded Tripod Bag:
I have a Gitzo Travel size tripod. The bag that came with it is too small to leave the ball head attached. This new GC-1100 Padded Tripod Bag by Gitzo works perfectly. The quality of the material is durable and it has light padding also. Zippers are well made. This bag will not fit in my suitcase like the other small one with the ball head attched. If I remove the head, it fits. Once I reach my destination (by plane) I can attach the ballhead and leave it on as I go about sightseeing.
