Great bag for my new Gitzo 3541LS. It is what I expected but this bag is only functional for the legs or legs plus ball head combination. 3541LS is very wide systematic tripod and 3 way had even without handles or handles folded with Induro system is almost impossible to fit in. RRS has much better bag I wish I seen earlier. RRS bag has very nice wide one side which is designed for larger heads attached. I paid 103.95 plus shipping and taxes and it cost me 130CAD delivered to Vancouver. Pretty much cost of smaller 3 way head or cheaper Manfrotto tripod legs. But good things cost more and I will probably keep it.

This is a very nice, well constructed, and quality bag. However, I have a GT3541LS and the bag is much bigger than what the tripod requires. I'd prefer a bag that was fired for my specific setup. $100 was to much for something like this since it was not exactly what I wanted.

This is a good addition to protect the investment in a quality tripod and head. For the price of the tripod, it should be included.

The bag is of very high quality, both in materials and workmanship. Should last a lifetime.

Material is a dense nylon. Sewing is excellent. Strong zipper w/ zips on both ends. Zipper has a catch-resistant underliner. Hidden place for a name tag.

Nice carrying handle. Removable padded shoulder strap with a no-slip material.

Padding is just right - not too much, not too thin, although any bag is not meant to protect equipment against drops from trucks.

Inside there is a zippered pouch about 4 by 11 inches - certainly big enough to carry spare batteries, CF cards and the like.

Perfect size for me - may be a little long for just a 3-series tripod without a head. Fits my Gitzo GT3541LS with a Markins M-20 head attached, and if I squeeze it with a Wimberley Sidekick attached.

Glad I purchased it!

This is crazy expensive for a protective bag but so isn't the tripod so I just closed my eyes and bought it! I'm glad that I did since Carbon Fiber's only weakness are scratches and fractures which can lead to failure over time. The bag is well padded and it looks like it will last through the life of my tripod. I have a Gitzo GT3541LS 6x CF Systematic Tripod, it will easily fit a Arca Swiss monoball head mounted within the bag.

The Gitzo tripod bag is a lot more expensive than other bags (almost double). It fits my Gitzo 4231 with a monoball z1 with no issue, but slightly longer than desired. Other bags either are too long, too wide, or not enough padding for my setup. I would have liked it to be cheaper, but its the best fitting one. Before you buy definitely place your equipment in the case to check fit.

I just recently purchased a Gitzo 3541LS and wasn't sure which tripod bag to buy. After reading reviews, different people went with different brands, but I decided to get the Gitzo GC-3100 and it is perfect! Absolutely worth every penny! I am totally satisfied with it and would strongly recommend it to anyone. Superior protection for my tripod and very comfortable to carry.

This is a really nice bag, but a bit pricey for what you're getting. It feels very durable and the shoulder strap is pretty comfortable. It easily fits my Gitzo GT3541L with RRS BH-40 ballhead attached with some extra space to spare. There is also a mid-sized inner pocket that's convenient for storing hex wrenches for the tripod legs and head as well. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, it does say Gitzo on the outside (you can see it in the photos on the side of the case between the hand straps) in case that matters to you. There's also a velcro flap on the side that covers an ID card where you can write your name. All in all, I'd say this is a really nice tripod bag that will likely last me a very long time. I'd definitely recommend it to others who don't mind spending the extra money on it.

A well made bag. Plenty of pockets inside for spare parts etc. A bit higher in price but the quality justifies the price.

I purchased the bag for my 3541XLS with RRS BH-55 & clamp. My set up measures approximately 31 1/8 in. and the bag will accommodate my set up with enough room to use the RRS ballhead pouch to cover the ballhead for extra protection. There is enough wiggle room to make removal problem free. My guess is that the bag will hold a set up measuring 31 1/2 in. without a problem. The bag is well made. The ballistic nylon and zippers are strong as well as visually pleasing. The padding is enough to protect against the usual bumps, etc. but I wouldn't check it in as luggage without additional padding, but maybe I'm just extra cautious. I wasn't completely certain the bag would fit my set up, [...]

Works great with a large ballhead. Says "Gitzo," not the best thing when traveling. Easy fix though.

A very well made bag, plenty of room. It holds my Gitzo GT3541 series 3 tripod with a Markins Q20 ball head installed an in the upright position, and still has about 6 inches of room to spare. Plenty of room to hold a small gadget bag inside for remote cables, tools, etc.

after reading several reviews i was concerned about fitting everything into this bag. i have the rrs b55 ballhead with protective bag mounted. i also have one lenscoat leg protector on the tripod itself. i was hoping for a neat inside zip pocket in the bag for wrenches, cable release etc and it was there. it all fits perfectly and the bag is indestructible! the only bag to get for your gitzo tripod!

I needed a larger bag for carrying the Gitzo 2542L with the Really Right Stuff BH 55 ballhead. I had gotten the Gitzo GC-2100 but it is too small for the BH 55 head. This bag has plenty of room and is virtually indestructible.

I bought a less expensive generic bag for my Gitzo GT5541LS carbon fiber tripod. It was not as well made and was too bulky. The Gitzo bag rocks.
