Comments about Sony DPF-D70, 7" Digital Picture Frame:
I bought this product 10 days back and its working great & user friendly, Excellent clarity .. After I bought this I got another one which is Viewsonic 8", then I came to know the difference between the SONY & Viewsonic. The picture clarity is waste when compared to Sony
I Prefer to buy Sony may be the price is high but worth to buy it.
Thank you
Pradeep.

Comments about Sony DPF-D70, 7" Digital Picture Frame:
I liked this product a lot. Sony has taken care to design this product. I loved the feature when we change from landscape to portrait mode, the little Sony Logo switches off. The black glossy look synonymous with nearly all Sony products makes it a real good display piece in the living room.
One thing I don't like is the power cord, the fatter piece is at the end so it cannot be concealed real well if being placed on a shelf.

I got this gift for my boyfriends birthday. I loaded some pictures of us and gave it to him as a birthday gift. I thought he would like it, but he loved it and was very touched. This was very simple to use and I loaded the pictures in minutes.

Everything is great, except the slideshow transitions. I hope those transitions can be smoother in the next software update.

Easy to use - I didn't even have to open the user's guide. The screen is crisp, bright and vivid. Perfect for showcasing your favorite photo memories. Looks great in almost any decor with its piano gloss block finish. I just wish it came with a USB cord to load photos onto the internal memory.

Using a mini-usb cable, it is very easy to load photos from the computer. The frame is set to random, so I am always surprised at what pops up!

It's good to see that Sony decided to support other memory formats than the memory stick. It's works well.

Comments about Sony DPF-D70, 7" Digital Picture Frame:
Last week I unpacked my new DPF-D70, my first digital frame. I attached it directly to my PC with a mini-USB cable (not included) and uploaded a bunch of photos to the frames internal storage, enough to store about 300 pics. I uploaded about 100. The transfer was reasonably quick, maybe taking 1-2 minutes. After playing around with some of the display options, which include a random mode that displays several photos at once, mixing in calendars and clocks, I settled on the sequential-by-date mode. Strangely, the random mode does not seem very random...several times, I saw the same photo 3-4 times in less than 2 minutes (with transition times of 10sec or so). My wife noticed the same thing. Sequential by date is not really what I want, so maybe Sony needs a better random number generator. But still, the display is nice and bright, the included calendar and clock options are very clean and graphically attractive, and the ability to turn off the lit Sony logo at the bottom of the frame really makes the pictures pop. It's one thing that is obvious in retrospect: a digital frame creates its own light, so unlike a regular framed print, these photos literally beam out from the bookcase where I have the frame sitting. So despite the slight quibble about the random thing, I'm happy with the purchase.

Comments about Sony DPF-D70, 7" Digital Picture Frame:
The 16:9 aspect ratio is a bit odd considering most consumer digital cameras shoot 4:3, but the frame seems to be designed well otherwise. Drag and Drop worked well via USB cable. I have not experimented with many of the functions (clock, variable frame advance rate, etc), so I can't comment on them. As far as the picture presentation goes, images were sharp and most colors were presented accurately, but reds seemed over-saturated to me.

Comments about Sony DPF-D70, 7" Digital Picture Frame:
The main purpose I purchased the Sony was the combo photo frame and clock feature. It sounds great to have a clock on one side of the screen and a photo on the other. The clock, it turns out, only shows the time the photo was taken! Why in the name of Sony would someone want to waste half a screen (that cost [$] plus) to show when a photo was taken. If the clock is used alone with no photo, then you can get a current time. I have clocks that give accurate time and they cost a whole lot less. On a different subject, I purchased this item because most reviews claimed it to be easy to use. In many ways it is easy to use but there doesn't seem to be a main menu, just a menu for the mode I'm in. When I wanted to leave that mode for another, it is not clear how to do this. Even though it claims have auto orientation, it works for some photos, and not for others. If I go into the frame itself and manually rotate from the menu, the photo remains rotated only while I am looking at it, it doesn't stay rotated permanently.

Excellent for loading and viewing photos. The viewing options allow for many different choices of slide show. You can have it up and running in less than 10 minutes. It's great that it has internal memory so you load the pictures and then can use the media you loaded from for other items. The auto rotation is great. In general I would highly recommend this to anyone. The large choice of media to load pictures from also makes it great--no special or limited use media.

This is a very nice, elegant frame. I purchased it as a Christmas gift for my husband. It's very easy to upload photos from the computer to the internal memory and will also take a number of memory cards, so you can use the frame no matter how you have your photos stored. I also love that you can have a calendar or clock on one side of the frame with a photo displayed on the other side. I plan to buy another one for myself in the near future!

Comments about Sony DPF-D70, 7" Digital Picture Frame:
This Sony digital picture frame is amazing. I got the B&H kit with a 1GB memory card. I loaded the loaded card up with pictures, plugged in the frame with the memory card it in and there were my pictures. The menus are easy to follow and the quality is Sony...top notch. You can change picture length on the screen, you can change transitions. It has multiple views. It Auto Rotates as you flip the frame from vertical to horizontal. You change views quick and easy with the included remote. It has a calandar and clock view that is side by side with your picture slide show. My wife absolutely loves this gift. Its way better than any old picture in a frame b/c its digital and you can have so many pictures as your memory card will allow. Lets say you own an SD memory card and a Memory Stick by Sony. You can plug them both in the card reader slots on the back and choose which slideshow to play. No changing cards out. Just leave them plugged in and change from the menu. Its Amazing!!!!
