The HandPod is a light and durable little support lanyard for compact cameras which have a 1/4"-20 threaded tripod socket.
Made in the USA, the HandPod is simply a grip with a tripod screw at the top, attached to a lanyard. You can wear your camera around your neck with the lanyard, and bring it to your eye by holding the small grip. You'll be surprised, but holding your camera in this manner will allow you to use the camera handheld at slightly slower shutter speeds and still achieve sharp pictures.

Very good product and useful in many ways. To snap pictures and to shoot video. Very good to hold small compact camera while you clean the lens, lcd screen, etc.. I just wish it was a little taller, for more leverage. A must have nonetheless.

I keep this hand pod in my pockets or leave it on my camera depending on what I'm doing. Works great for shooting action video. Was also nice cause it has a lanyard , allowing me to have my camera ready at a moments notice. The construction is simple and seems to be quite durable. would be great for anyone shooting pictures on the go. take it on your next vacation or camping trip. Nice to have a little extra stability, this did just that.

I bought this for a small digital camera. Sometimes my pictures would come out blurry because I had issues holding such a small camera and pressing the button. But with this Handpod my pictures come out much clearer. And the neck strap is a nice feature because the camera is so small I can put it in my shirt/jacket pocket and pull it out quickly and not worry about dropping my camera. One improvement would be to add a foldable hinge at the screw point so that the Handpod could fold flat against the camera.

Smaller than I expected but that's not a bad thing. It dors exactly what is expected and handles small to medium cameras (Nikon P100) with ease.

My camera is compact & a little difficulty to hold on to without dropping it. The handpod solved that problem & also stabilized the camera when taking the shot-it served as somewhat of a "tripod". It worked well when walking around on a day trip when I was going to keep my camera out (ex.-day at a theme park). Just hang it around your neck until you're ready for the next shot. It wasn't as convenient if I had to put my camera away after each shot-didn't fit into my small camera bag when the handpod was connected. I also have to get over that obvious "tourist' feeling I had with a camera hanging around my neck all day. For me, the Pros outweighed the Cons. I could safety keep a good grip on my small camera & I could get a steadier shot.

This makes the camera hang upside down which is akward. Not sure it is worth the investment. Looked like a better idea than it seems to be.

This little gadget really does make a difference in how steady you can hold a small digital camera. It's no tripod, but worth the money.

Can't beleive how much this simple device helps steady and keep the camera level. The long attached lanyard is also alot better than the strap that goes around the wrist-less banging up of the camera and leaves both hands free.
