Simple little extension for a tripod or camera mount. I purchased it to use on my kayak. I'm still trying to find a good base for it (the clamp-on one I purchased here didn't work like I needed; and it rusted), but once I get the mount right, I know I'm in good shape with this extension. It's nice and flexible, but also sturdy enough that it stayed in position fairly well, even in a wavy conditions on the water. Also - and this impressed me - no sign of rust after the trip! Heck, I might even buy a second one of these to see how 24" of extension works!

Not sure that is was designed for this, but I mounted it to the bow of my fishing boat. I do a lot of solo fishing, so this works out perfect to take pictures of the monsters (guppies) that I catch. No more balancing or self arm-length pictures. This thing is perfect!
