Very clean powerful amplifiers. On screen guide is excellent and auto setup with microphone worked fairly well although I did not care for the (defeatable) equalization. The buttons on the front panel are nearly impossible to read but the remote is well laid out and you can directly access any source from there. If you care more about sound than features (although it has many)then this is the av receiver you want at this price point. Nobody else makes a 7 channel receiver with full bandwith amplifier power ratings anywhere near this price range! The 50w/ch rating is very conservative vs other brands. I am enjoying this unit tremendously.

The AVR 254 puts out powerful and clear sound, looks great and was easy to set up. The only downfall is trying to get a hdmi to dvi adapter to switch between my DVD player to my apple cinema display, none that I have tried will give signal to the display.

Great AVR, as usual KH figured out how to make a great product with excellent sound and many options, the quality of sound is amazing, remote control easy to use, I will recomend this one for the home thaethre fans.
