Kata CRC-17 Compact Rain Cover H
The Kata CRC-17 Compact Rain Cover H provides protection against dirt, dust and sudden showers. It is tailored to fit horizontal handheld camcorders. It provides a quick easy set-up with pull-tight elastic cords. Fabricated completely from waterproof materials, the cover features a crystal-clear TPU panel which allows control monitoring and viewing of the LCD screen at any angle. The cover slips quickly over your camcorder to protect it from sudden showers and is secured by two quick pull drawstrings that fasten tightly around the lens and your arm.

This is a great lightweight cover. I do alot of outdoor/hunting filming in the elements and this cover is perfect. Not too much weight and protects my small camera perfectly. Great product.

I was fortunate enough to get to test this rain cover out the first week I had it. It worked like a charm. I have a Sanyo VPC-TH1 and it seems as if the cover was custom made for it. I'm sure other owners of other models will have the same experience. I had given it some thought, and bought a 37mm rubber lens hood (the type that folds back onto itself). This served as a redundant seal around the lens opening in the cover and while it may not be necessary, it gave me an added level of peace of mind. If this is indicative of the quality of Kata products, (and I suspect that it is) I will be happy to purchase more in the future amd to recommend to anyone.

The cover is inexpensive, yet proves to do the job regarding its purpose of keeping the camera dry. The negative: It could have been designed offset, and to the right for the camera which would give a bit more room for the monitor.

Good construction. Fits my HV20 and HV30 camera with ease. The drawstrings allow a tight fit around the lens to keep the rain out. Just large enough to protect the camera and a MRC1K or HVR-DR60 mounted on top.

This Kata rain cover is easier to use than others that I have used. I am using this for an HV 30 and it truly does go on quick and provide easy access and view of controls. On my XH A1, the fit of the CRC 14 and CRC 15 are ok, but I seem to always be fidgeting with the fit. This could be because of the shape of the camera, however. For the HV30, I would recommend this product.
I wouldn't trust any of these covers in a deluge of rain, but for ambient spray and light rain, they should do the trick.

I purchased the KATA rain bag for my camcorder. Because I film football and they play rain or shie I needed something to protect the camera. I tried a few other product but NONE of them protected the camera and still made it easy to use the camera. I will definately be purchasing more in the Future
