The CSC-550 CV, Y/C & Component Scaler with HDTV & XGA from Comprehensive/Kramer is a high-performance digital scaler designed for use with composite video, S-video, and component video (480i) signals. It will scale a video input signal to computer-graphics video signal or HDTV signal on an HD-15 connector. Selectable output resolutions for computer graphics include 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024 and HDTV resolutions of 480p, 576p, 720p, and 1080i.
This unit will work with NTSC and PAL-B/G/I/D video formats. It includes a built-in processing amplifier for color, hue (NTSC only), sharpness, contrast, and brightness. Other features include a 3-D comb filter, 3:2 pull-down video processing with auto-detection, digital noise reduction, and aspect-ratio selection of 4x3 or 16x9. The unit can be controlled via its front-panel pushbuttons or with an optional IR remote control.
