Not only can I download from my SD card, but I can also download from my friend's xD card, plus whatever else I can think of.
It's small enough & after checking out several others online, I finally decided on this one due to the positive reviews.
I'm happy that I bought this one.
Some say it's "flimsy", but I've found that other card readers I've used are even more flimsy than this one. It's just lightweight, that's all.

I purchased this reader so I would not have to connect my camera to my computer. I use both a Nikon D300s and a D80. Using the D80 on jpegfine it worked very fast and had no problems. When I attempted to use the D300s, shooting on the raw mode it would not work. The Delkin C/S dept. suggested that it may be a codex problem with Nikon. AS long as you stay on jpeg all is ok, since I shoot mainly on raw it does not help me a lot. I recommend B&H to all my friends and associates.

Comments about Delkin Devices eFilm Reader-38 Card Reader/Writer:
I use it with my Canon 5D and Nikon D80 and it transfers pictures from both types of cards super fast. It's light, and portable, making it easier than carrying cords around with you wherever you go. There are many slots for different kinds of cards that I haven't tried but I'm sure they work wonderfully. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone needing a card reader.
The only con is that I wish it had a longer cable. But, that's a small price to pay.

Comments about Delkin Devices eFilm Reader-38 Card Reader/Writer:
I was looking for an easy reader for my Mac. I had difficulty with downloads direct from the camera. Internet sources gave me all the available choices and I was glad I chose the Delkin. It was easy and painless to empty my card from my Nikon. It was simple and quick. I was especially pleased that a low priced item could work so well for all my cameras.

This product allows you to view various media formats all in one device. It's almost instant that when you insert the card, the images pop up in the computer. I use Macintosh and for sure some things are slow at times, but for most part this product works without hitches.

Comments about Delkin Devices eFilm Reader-38 Card Reader/Writer:
I use it to transfer photos from a SCHD card (used in my Pentax K-7) to my computer without messing with hooking up the camera for each card.
I also used it to store and install the downloaded firmware update for the camera with no problems at all. The reader is compact, shiney like a new cell phone and neat looking. I am not sure the shine will last long if it is handled a lot. The only thing I notice that is not so great is the ports seem like they would get full of lint and such while in a camera bag or the like. Maybe a zip-loc baggy would prevent all that.

I like that the e-film reader is light and portable but it feels like a toy in your hands because of the lightness. I just keep it in it's orginal package when I carry it in my bag. It also scratches easily.

I wanted a firewire card reader, because they didn't have it in stock I got this one so I could wait for the firewire. But you know what, I'm happy with it. It's not as fast as a firewire one but it's much faster than I thought. It's small and light. Doesn't look very durable, but as long you don't let it fall on the floor it should last long.
