It combines functionality and innovative technologies, with an impressive S-Master 24-Bit amplifier, S-AIR wireless capabilities, and HDMI switching with 1080p Blu-ray compatibility. This system was designed for both professional and home entertainment enthusiasts with the capability to deliver a full, clear, and tight sound response.
It features an impressive 2-way (100W) subwoofer, with an integrated AM/FM (50W/channel) A/V receiver. In addition, its unobtrusive design features 5-micro satellite speakers capable of reproducing high-quality audio that rival full size speakers. With Digital Cinema Auto Calibration, BRAVIA Theater Sync technology to control select HDMI devices, DCS technology, LPCM audio capabilities, 5 x 7" segmented FL display, Digital Media Port (DMP) for connectivity to your favorite digital music player (i.e. iPod), and an iPod docking station, the HT-IS100 answers the call with versatility, style, and reliability.
- S-Master 24-Bit Amplification
- This system offers S-Master digital amplification capable of reproducing crystal clear separation of audio signals using a digital-to-digital process throughout the signal path.
- High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) x3 1080p
- If you're looking to pump HD-DVD and Blu-ray playback into your home theater, this system will do the job. It has an integrated digital processor capable of transferring 720p, 1080i, and 1080p/24p video signals through the HDMI output.
- BRAVIA Home Theater Sync
- Go beyond simple audio and video transmission with the "one-touch play" remote control feature that allows you to easily manage select BRAVIA televisions and Sony HDMI audio and video components with the included remote control.
- Digital Media Port (DMP)
- Integrate a wide variety of music with your home theater system. Add a DMP accessory (sold separately) to play music from a PC client device, Bluetooth receiver, or from a select Network Walkman or your iPod.
- S-AIR Technology
- S-AIR is an ingenious technology that offers the ability to establish rear surround sound audio to your home theater system without making unnecessary holes in your walls or floors. This system is compatible with the WAHT-SA1 and/or WAHT-SA10 wireless kit. It eliminates the need to run messy wiring from the back of your receiver to the rear speakers located across the room.
- S-AIR Digital Wireless Capability
- The optional EZW-T100 S-AIR Ready Transmitter and AIR-SA10 Air Station receiver/speaker (all sold separately), offers the ability to distribute wireless audio up to four rooms in your home with sound from the main unit.
- Digital Cinema Auto Calibration
- Enjoy better sound as the automatic calibration system adjusts for speaker placement, distance and delay. Just hold the included microphone at your listening position and Digital Signal Processing does the rest.
- Superb Digital Decoding
- This system reproduces Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital and DTS audio at a 24-Bit rate. The dynamic range of this system is so well balanced and matched that the center, front and rear channels blend seamlessly.
- Digital Cinema Sound (DCS)
- DCS technology uses exclusive Sony digital signal processing (DSP) technology to recreate precise movie theater sound that's closer to what film directors intended.
- LPCM Capabilities
- LPCM is a method of encoding audio information digitally, which can have up to 8 channels of uncompressed audio through the HDMI output. This wider bandwidth allows for high resolution audio, which is closer to the original.
- Flexible Design
- By using Sony's digital S-Master amplification and DSP technology, realistic surround sound can be generated from this unique system. The design is both elegant and very flexible; it's an ideal solution for rooms of all sizes, and is especially convenient for very small rooms.
