I use a printer as a photographer mostly to do just office documents. I only print photos at pro labs and other items with offset or digital printing companies. I print a lot of contracts, invoices, letters, print order forms etc. so the laser printer is much better, faster and way cheaper. A new set of inks for my old inkjet cost nearly as much as this printer did brand new.
It is a very compact printer compared to what I am used to in laser printers. It's quiet and doesn't make a sound until I print to it. It was extremely easy to set up on the Mac, as the Mac OS already had the print drivers installed and were even automatically updated once the system knew I had it installed. It took longer to run the wires from the computer and wall to the printer than it did to print the first test page.
Honestly, I have not found one thing bad about it, and I have already recommended it to several of my colleagues who complain about their ink jet printers.
I highly recommend this printer to anyone who is looking to print black only, fast, and save a ton more money per year in home office printing costs. Two thumbs up... twice!!

For that use it works fine, the print is sharp and clean. For correspondence whose appearance I care about I'll use the ink-jet printer. Its printed page is flat, the laser page has ripples caused by the heat used to fuse the toner to the paper. And, of course, only time will tell if this or any other product is worth anything. Until it proves to be worth more I give it a rating of 3 stars.

I had had it with inject printers. Since I primarily print up bills and letters I didn't need color or the hassle of little cartidges that were walways running out of ink. B&H had the lowest price, [...] the set-up and implimentation of the printer was a breeze. Only concern is the cable from the computer to the printer was on the short (3') size and could have been a bit longer.

I've had it only a couple of weeks, but it's working fine. It was truly plug-and-play (after installing the cartridge). I followed their driver installation, but Win 7 already had it installed, and I wound up with 2 versions. It was easy to solve that (delete one), and go. It's easy to load the paper (unlike my previous printer), and it prints crisp, clean pages. I've seen some reviews that knock its graphics, but I've not experienced any problems there. Of course, I don't do photos on a mono-laser printer, either.

Setup was a snap and the price, [$], was unbeatable. It was less than 10 minutes (maybe even 5 minutes)from the time I took this printer out of the box, pulled out my old Lexmark printer with the dying paper feed mechanism, plugged this in to replace it and had it printing a test page.I use this printer primarily to print 8.5x11 text documents. It does have enough options to print envelopes and stiff paper, but they aren't necessarily the most convenient, but remember it cost [$]! Toner cartridges are available from several sources at very reasonable prices, so cost per page is exceptionally low.If you are looking for automated two-sided printing or other higher-end features this probably isn't the printer for you.
