The best thing about this DVD player is it has an excellent memory. If you stop a DVD in the middle of a movie and take it out of the player, when you put it back in later, it will start back up right where you stopped it. Genious!

We wanted a combination DVD/CD player that accommodate 5 discs to play music when we had company and a DVD when we wanted to see a movie; it works great. Our only disappointment is that it does not shuffle between discs (it will shuffle individual discs) but heck, you can't have everything.

This was bought as a replacement after 10+ years of my old 5-disc changer. Once you have the option of multiple CD/DVD's available at the punch of a button, you won't go back!! Use it for music and movies and appreciate the options available. I would definitely buy this again....hopefully in another 10 years!! Great price by B&H[...] Kudos.

This DVD Player works well & has a good picture.If you don't need a Blue-Ray player it has a mixture of performance & continence that is rare at this price point!

I have had it for few weeks now and it works great! The images it produces are clear, crisp, and the sound is outstanding. I had already had hours of enjoyment from it.

In connecting it to the Sony Sound System, a question arose about the set-up process. I called Sony and their representative not only gave me the information I sought, but offered additional suggestions which made its use even more enjoyable. Their phone tech service, I experienced was outstanding.

I have used this for DVD's and music. Has worked great. I have no problems with DVD upscaling to 1080 and the sound through my Onkyo SR606 is great.

I really love this player! I initially bought it to use solely as a CD player but I quickly changed my mind after watching a movie on it last week. The audio quality is noticeably crisp and sweet. The picture quality through the HDMI cable is utterly immaculate. I have it mated to an ONKYO receiver for sound production and I am truly pleased. Most important, you are certainly getting a deal for the price this system is selling for. I will definitely recommend for I have no negatives for this player.Of course, the 5 tray disc is also another plus. It offers the PLAY and EXCHANGE function

I bought this one to replace the single disc version I have now. It does everything as good as the single disc version only 5 times more now.

I really enjoy the option of using HDMI cables, I am an audiophile junkie, and messing with the abundance of cables was always a hassle and more of a chore than anything.

So the HDMI brings much needed relief to the audio/video industry. Thank you Sony!

This Sony DVD with progressive scan and 5 disc carousel is able to read standard dvd discs and upgrade the image to 1080i whis is comparable to 720p. It's functions are simple to use as is it's connections. It is quite compact in size and with a HDMI connection integrates well with our 1080p television.
Simply stated this upconverter DVD, given my visual acuity, is only a small increment below "true HD" Blue Ray DVD and for the cost and it's ability to take 480p conventional format DVD's and convert to a 720p image along with it's ability to play (5) CD's or user created audio MP3 discs, it makes for a welcome addition to our audio/video entertainment system.
Have yet to find anything that is not terrific with ths Sony quality component.

Got this primarily as a 5 disc CD changer, but it does DVD's, too. HDMI output makes set up very simple. It's so inexpensive but still works fine.

My brother-in-law had this one before the product was out for awhile. I bought this one in May 08 and love it. It can upscale for HD, which is good since my system is built to do so.

Having the 5 disc changer is convenient when I want to keep from having to change the disc when watching several in a row.

If you need a budget upgrade, go with this one.
