The Plustek OptiCard 821 Sheet-fed Scanner is a high-speed mobile scanner that not only manages images but also organizes and synchronizes business cards into public contact databases, all with two simple buttons - Scan and Custom. The Scanner also includes the powerful I.R.I.S. Cardiris 3.5 software to help you organize all of your business cards with efficiency, and it recognizes business cards from 50 different countries. In addition to scanning photo documents and business cards, the OptiCard 821 also scans all types of checks, as well as plastic embossed cards such as insurance cards, membership cards, social security cards and credit cards. Other features of the OptiCard 821 include auto orientation, database export, synchronization with your PDA, and much more.

- The OptiCard 821 is bundled with BCR (Business Card Reader) software which provides automatic recognition of company name, job title, person's name, address, telephone and fax number. Users then have the flexibility of saving the files to Excel or sending the files to Outlook for further categorization. Of course, any further change or addition of information can be arranged directly through the BCR software
