Comments about Canon IFC-500U USB Interface Cable - 15.4' (4.7 m):
I use tethering in my studio and had trouble with the reach of the short cable the camera comes with. I was so glad to have bumped into this long cable by accident on B&H's website! I now have the chance of getting the computer out of my way and be able to move around the subject with freedom and still be connected to the computer! Also, because it is so long, I no longer tug on the cable by accident, disconnecting it from the computer as I used to do with the shorter cable. If you shoot in the studio, I highly recommend this long cable!

It's great to find a cable that is long enough and is of good quality. I tether right from Canon to Lightroom 3 flawlessly. Great product, definitely worth the buy!

Comments about Canon IFC-500U USB Interface Cable - 15.4' (4.7 m):
I use this for tethering my 7D to my laptop and so far I have found it to be reliable. The connection to the camera is nice and snug so I'm not worried about the cable dropping out and the data throughput is solid if a little slow. But thats USB for you. The cable itself is sheathed in a soft plastic so it spreads out and rolls up with difficulty. All in all, as far as USB tether cables go, this is great.

Comments about Canon IFC-500U USB Interface Cable - 15.4' (4.7 m):
Before I used this - I thought it was a little expensive for a USB cable. However it is well-built and tough enough for the studio or in the field. Camera to computer data transmission is outstanding and the 15 ft length is a plus.

Canon should pack a 15' cord with the pro cameras as a standard (imo).

Comments about Canon IFC-500U USB Interface Cable - 15.4' (4.7 m):
Shooting tethered to your computer gives you the advantage of seeing your photograph in a large format. This allows you to see things that you wouldn't be able to on the camera screen. The 15.4 foot Canon interface cable gives you this capability. Its length allows a certain amount of mobility. While not ideal for all situations, it certainly works well within its limitations. I'm glad I bought it.

Comments about Canon IFC-500U USB Interface Cable - 15.4' (4.7 m):
I mainly got it because i saw a lot fashion photographers using it and i was never big into shooting into a computer, but since i have had it, i have used it on every location and studio shoot i can. Amazing product. Lag time on LR is around 8 seconds and captureone is around 4 seconds. Really great cable and it is really sturdy

I use this to tether my DSLR to my computer. It's the only 15 footer out there. So yeah, it's great.

Comments about Canon IFC-500U USB Interface Cable - 15.4' (4.7 m):
Regretable as it is for a Nikon user to say this, the Canon USB cable is the only choice for shooting teathered to your laptop. No other maker (to my knowledge) makes a cable of this length and quality with interference filters fitted to both ends, facilitating reliable teathered shooting with out the need for "pigtail" cables and data-loss prone couplings

Comments about Canon IFC-500U USB Interface Cable - 15.4' (4.7 m):
These are the best cables we have found for tethering Canon via USB into Capture One. The downside is they do begin to fail fairly quickly, but compared to other options, these provide the fastest data transfer USB makes possible at this point in my experience and have had the most consistent success compared to any other cable we have tried.

I use the cable for my T1i for remote hook up and to download directly to my PC. The cable was a little pricey, but it is longenough to be useful in all situations, it is the only cable I need.

Comments about Canon IFC-500U USB Interface Cable - 15.4' (4.7 m):
The cord length is just right to use as a tether cord with my laptop and Lightroom 3. The transfer rate was reasonable, about 10 seconds from my Canon 7D. Tethering in the studio and on location helps to save time in post production, please customers, and stay technically advanced.
