Comments about Cortex HDC500 Dual Mass Storage Device Player & Controller for DJs:
This is a really nice piece of equiptment. I have a USB keyboard connected to the rear USB port and navigating my MP3's is a snap. The downloadable software from Cortex's site made a searchable database for the unit that makes this possible. The unit is made of heavy metal and has a nice metallic paint finish. The power supply is similar to what a laptop computer has. I does refuse to play a few MP3's that are in an un-supported bit rate though. Other than that sound is great and works well. The pitch bend works good also. If you are looking for a fancy MP3 player I would recommend this unit. It is not too pricey and performs great. Also the firmware is upgradeable with a download from Cortex's site.
