Just as in any other trade formal education can only take you so far. There is no substitute for experience. Higher learning is a fantastic thing; but in the real world there are tricks of the trade that one can only pick up from actually having had experience. Jason Tomaric, along with other accomplished and internationally famous industry professionals go far beyond screenwriting in that they provide real world advice on how the industry REALLY works.
Literary and industry terms, format, and so on are all important things to know; however, things covered here like what not to do, who and who not to talk to, and other non-academic subjects are presented. And therein lies the true value.
