The Tenba Shootout Large Shoulder Bag (Black) is a water-resistant ripstop nylon bag made to carry two D-SLR digital cameras, lenses, and accessories, and a 15" laptop computer. The top-opening main compartment holds photo or digital gear and accessories. Additional accessories are carried in the exterior and interior pockets. There is a removable media wallet and phone/music pouch. The vertical zipper design allows easy "no-spill" access to accessories in the mesh pockets. The case closes with weather sealed zippers and the Covert Clip backup closure system that features "invisible" flat buckles. It has dual-door side panels; one for accessories, the other for direct-access to the inside of the case.
The Shootout shoulder bag is carried by a detachable handle or a removable, adjustable shoulder strap with an ergonomically contoured shoulder-gripping pad that makes carrying even a heavily-loaded bag comfortable and secure.. The case includes a WeatherWrap rain cover.

This is by far the best bag for the $. I ordered the medium one originally, and it was "too small". I needed something to hold all my gear for transportation purposes. [...]got the large bag and it holds everything currently have. Although that bag is large, it makes up for it with all the features and durability! I packed this bag into the jungles of Panama in January 2010, and never worried about my gear being un-safe. Traveling through airports is also handy with the back "pouch" that unzips and sides over the suit case handle.Currently I hold: 2 sb-600s, D300 w/grip, 80-200 f2.8, 12-24 f4, 50 f1.8, 10.5 f2.8, 17-55 f2.8, flip camera, snoot, diffuser, and media flash wallet with cards in it. All in the main compartment. two chargers in the right pouch for flash batteries and camera batteries. Left side pouch has tether cables, extra batteries, mini-mag flash light, cleaning cloth. front pouch has some pens, paper, and biz cards. I would say that loaded up this bag weighs about 25-30lbs. =( But I feel safe transporting everything in it! I am also thinking about getting the Tenba sling bag for hiking and day trips. You will not be disappointed with this bag if you have a lot of gear, forget Tamrac!

I bought this bag as a step up in size from my Lowepro Stealth Reporter D400. It easily holds more gear, including 2 SLRs with lenses attached (my original reason for buying it).
Unfortunately, I have been disappointed in the accessory storage space and overall accessibility. The front pouch, while theoretically large, does not extend out from the bag far enough and is too stiff to hold anything significant. It's a struggle to cram batteries or filters in there, even though it has multiple pockets. The side pouches are better in this respect.
Accessibility-wise, I find myself missing the Lowepro's single large clasp when running-and-gunning at a wedding. On the plus side, the Tenba is better balanced and the two clasps do a good job of preventing equipment spills when picking it up by the handle. I have lost more than one piece of kit to concrete when picking up the Lowepro by its handle.
Finally, I like the weather-sealed zippers when it's raining (rarely, in my line of work) but hate them most of the time. They're just cumbersome to open and close, although I'm hoping this will change as I break in the bag.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the bag but may wind up buying some sort of attachment to hold more accessories.

This bag is well built and just large enought to fit all my new gear. I have a D7000 with battery pack, sb900, sb700 flash guns and a 16-35, 50, 80 1.4g, and a 70-200mm 2.8 also an IPAD2 all inside.
Also a BR strap exter batterys sd card holder and remote cable. It is heavy but handles well. Nothing better out there.

Comments about Tenba Shootout Large Shoulder Bag (Black):
This is the best bag that I have purchased. It holds my Canon 50d, 70-200mm 2.8, 24-70mm 2.8, a 17-55mm lens, a flash, and there's still room. The camera can fit with the 70-200 mounted and standing up, but it's a bit too snug for my liking. And, as others have said, it's heavy when loaded. There are plenty of dividers to arrange in many ways, so I'll keep trying new configurations. The quality is excellent, equipment is very accessible in the bag, and I would strongly recommend this bag. The large fits my 15 inch Macbook pro nicely, but I'm thinking about picking up a medium for my video gear.

Like everyone else, I am always searching for the right bag. I needed something to hold everything I would need for a smaller location shoot. Right now I have pro bodies with vertical grips, 3 speed lights, a mess of pocket wizards, a 24-70 2.8L, a 17-25 2.8L and what ever prime I threw in. Plus all the regular junk, batteries, CF cards, Harddrive, etc....
The bag is constructed well and holds things safely. I dont really wear it around, but i dont think its the kind of thing you would wear around the city, its kinda big.
great overall bag.

Comments about Tenba Shootout Large Shoulder Bag (Black):
It was a nice bag...sturdy with a good amount of pockets for organizing. But it was not very practical for me. I was hoping to fit my 70-200 lens attached to camera as well as another camera with wide angle lens, 2 flashes, and a 50mm lens inside. The camera with 70-200 lens fit but then i'd have to put a camera on top of it and hide it. Plus the zipper was very hard to unzip. Just didn't work for me, so i returned it.

Comments about Tenba Shootout Large Shoulder Bag (Black):
In my opinion, Tenba is making the best camera bags out there right now. Over the years, I've used just about all of them. This was the best design for a large laptop and DSLR for lots of lenses, accessories and even extra camera bodies. Their slot in the back for use with an airport cart is ergonomically brilliant in its simplicity. Lots of other bags are awkward & fall off of luggage carts all the time. This is definitely a bag for travelers who need to shoot & have their laptop along. It is compact, yet large enough to bring what is needed for shooting on most trips.

I am a wedding photographer and I need a bag that looks professional, but also functional. I found that it was really easy to customize the bag to fit my equipment, and the black looks great. The material feels very durable, and the waterproof zippers will make sure that my gear is safe.
It also has side pockets that open up so in case you keep lenses/cameras near the side you can get them without opening the top of the bag
