Comments about Domke F-300 Long Lens Bag:
The bag itself is nicely small and soft, made of good quality materials. Could be a good solution to carry 300 f/2.8 lens as well as 400 DO, 200 f/2 IS and 200 f/1.8.
Unfortunately, the strap is way too short for carrying the bag accross the chest, unless meant for a small child, the strap length is not adjustable, and it can not be taken off the bag because it is sewn into it. Inexplicable series of oversights......such thing I've never seen in any other camera/lens bag.
Consequently, I use the bag only for lens storage at home.

Comments about Domke F-300 Long Lens Bag:
I use this bag to carry a 300mm f/2.8, hood-reversed, with tripod foot and with 5D attached. It is probably the most lightweight and inobtrusive way to carry this combination. I learned of this bag by a post on [@] who uses it with other lenses, e.g., 200mm f/1.8 and camera attached, I think.IMO, the bag does not offer enough protection to use for general transportation. There is also not enough room for lens, teleConverter and camera, all attached. The bag is canvas and has a nice feel, but you may want to carry a plastic bag (I use a trash bag) for protection against a sudden downpour.
