The Bower Changing Bag can be a lifesaver. Ever get a roll of film stuck inside a camera? Your batteries go dead and you can't rewind? Or, the film tears off the sprockets and you don't know what to do? By using this bag, your film can be saved, those precious shots can be salvaged - and you save the price of a repair visit. Best part - you don't need a darkroom.
Another use for the changing bag is to wind film on to a developing reel.. If you don't have a real darkroom, a changing bag is the next best thing to a darkened closet. In normal room light, this bag will allow you to roll your film on to the reel. Placing the reel and film inside the double zippered pockets, you can wind your film for development. The black cotton inside material is light-tight while the two access slots or your arms provide adequate space for manipulating the film or camera.

I have used it for loading 35mm into developing tanks. Tight fit, but doable. Go with the fancy box tent if you have the money or buy supplies at a hardware store to lightproof your closet or bathroom (bathroom closet). Unless you do field developing like me and like using a cheap and simple bag that isn't much of a loss if it is lost/destroyed.

Very practical. I use it to load film on spiral stainless steel reels (up to 4 at a time). Cheap and well made.

I bought this bag to load 120 film onto the plastic Paterson reels. The bag is a little too small to have the reel and tank in it at the same time and still have room to work. Instead, I have been using the closet to load the film. I still use the bag to fix film jams in the camera, etc. and haven't had any problem with it other than it's small size.

I really like that I am able to store my camera and film while im changing. There is one pocket within another which makes it a little difficult when you packing, but it works out fine. The size also folds small so thats nice.

A sturdy bag good for what it is made for. A bit small for large 35mm tanks, but it gets the job done. The double zipper and elastic bands keep the light out well.

I was new to b&w film developing prior to buying this bag. Maybe i just have fat hands, but its a decently tight fit with the a paterson 4 tank in there with the film. i had no problem loading reels with the tank and all in there but i wouldn't complain if it was larger, but you live and you learn.
This product is great for its purpose, just make sure your stuff will all fit in this bag, unlike i did....
