Porta Brace CS-DV4/DC Director's Cut Mini-DV Camcorder Case
The Porta Brace CS-DV4/DC Director's Cut Mini DV Camera Case (Black with Suede Accents) is available exclusively at B&H Photo. The Director's Cut Series is Porta Brace's premier upgrade package, and it includes antique brass hardware, deerskin suede accents, a microfiber lining, and a memory foam core shoulder strap. It is designed to protect and organize the camera and the essential spare battery, tape or microphones. It fits popular cameras such as the Sony PMW-EX1, HVR-V1U, HVR-Z1U, HDR-FX1, Canon XH-A1, XH-G1 and the Panasonic HVX-200. The cradle inside is adjustable and stays put to keep the camera from shifting. The case is made from 1000 denier Cordura nylon with a generous coating of polyurethane waterproofing, plus 1.0" thick foam padding. The bottom panel is reinforced with 8.0mm hollow core plastic, foam layers and a layer of Slip-Not fabric, which adds an extra layer of protection against water, dirt and grime with an easy wipe-off surface.
The CS-DV4/DC has a large exterior pocket for cables, a wide slip pocket for white balance card, owner's manual, maps airline tickets, etc., and one small padded soft pouch. The case is carried by a removable, adjustable, deerskin suede shoulder strap or dual deerskin suede carrying handles.

Love the directors cut case, same great construction as all the other products! But has a little more style! Do wish it had the interior long zip pocket as my older case, but plenty of other pockets for all the gear. Thank you Porta Brace for great products and made in the USA!

Wondering if the CS-DV4 would look as good as it is pictured in the latest Porta Brace catalogue, I couldn't wait to receive mine from BHP&V.
The product offers exactly what the name stands for: excellent build quality and A-class protection for your gear, all of the zips, belts and pouches have a pretty indestructible appearance / feel.
Now, all of these features can be found with the regular PB cases, why should anyone choose the Director's Cut edition? I did it because I wanted "something different" and "something more stylish" to transport my JVC HM100. In other words, très chic.
Inside the case there's a cradle which, thanks to velcro, can be moved inside the bag and adjusted for perfect fit for your camcorder. The inside is extremely well padded.
Along with the case came a small utility pouch and a white balance card, and my Macbook Pro 13" fits in the outer pocket for on-site editing, what more can you ask for?
