Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc - Gold/Silver - 12"
The Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc is a versatile lighting tool for in the field and in the studio. It allows you to bring out the shadow detail in your subject, using available or studio lighting. In addition, the colored surface allows you to modify the color of your subject. Your choice of color -- silver or gold -- will be determined by the lighting conditions and your personal preference.
This 12" disc is suitable for accenting small areas of a portrait and very small still-life setups. It folds down to 1/3 of its open size and comes with a storage sleeve. We suggest the purchase of a pivoting arm and stand to hold the disc where needed -- especially if you are working without an assistant.
- Gold creates a warm, summery feel that works great with skin tones near sunrise or sunset.
- Silver produces a neutral-colored highlight that works beautifully as a fill light source for both product shots and indoor/outdoor portraits.

I love my reflector! I gives me great lighting while I'm shooting and enhances my photographs tremendously! The only thing I would change about it is the size, which you can order a larger reflector, and I would tone down the gold. I would choose a reflector with a softer gold giving my subject more of a warm tone rather than sunny. Overall, it's a great buy at a great price!

These reflectors are great, however this 12" one is pointless! I didn't want to give it 1 star, because these actual gold and silver reflectors work wonders when trying to light up a scene, but this specific size really does nothing. If you wanted to light up a bug, this would work. I use the gold side to light up people, it adds a beautiful glow to skin tones, and the silver works well for everything else

This 12 inch reflector is just perfect for close-up or macro shots of flowers. It helps me put the amount of light just where I want it to be in those otherwise dark or shadowed areas (ie. lower petals). Advantage over flash (direct or remote), is that I can see just what I will get. I shoot in conservatories a lot and have found it very helpful. I recommend the item highly and suggest using both silver and gold sides of the reflector.
Additionally, if folds up into a small package which fits into a pouch supplied with the product.
