Use it on D300s carried everyday. Like the way it connects to camera not easy to lose in use. Buttoms match up perfectly with camera. Good product.

I didn't have this product long before two issues mentioned here became very apparent. The flip up is very good in the sun, but awkward for any other situation. It is also a little flimsy and one side wing came off after awhile. Good thing it can be removed easily, which I did. So why such a good rating? The buttons and eyepiece worked fine. It was easy to install and stayed put. Recently I was on a grueling hike and I dropped my backpack pretty violently. This cover took the brunt of the impact and the clear cover was badly broken but stayed together. My camera screen was fine. Then it occurred to me, had the metal shade (albeit broken and unwanted) been on, I may not have broken the glass protector. Even if you don't like it, during transit the metal shade does have reason to live. By the way, I carefully put packing tape on each side of the glass and now have perfectly good spare. For the price you can't beat this product.

I have trouble seeing the LCD screen in bright sunlight and thought this would be the answer. Unfortunately, the first time I used it the right panel popped off. I continued to use it with just one side panel and fond that it got in the way more than any thing else.
Very cheaply built.

This product is so useful when shooting outdoor in hardsun. It is so easy to flip the door open and review the image. When I shoot indoor it is also so easy to slide the door off and put it in my pocket.

This is my second purchase of this product for my D300.

I bought this because I have difficulty seeing the LCD in bright sunshine. It works in that situation but it is awkward in any other situation because you have to open it to see how your image looks. I took it off and probably won't use it again.

I keep it on the camera all the time. Buttons work perfect. When I shoot a picture I remove that shade part. When you don't use camera this device is better than LCD monitor cover which can get scratched easily.

Great when reviewing inages under bright conditions. It allows full use of the buttons to the left of the screen, and protects the LCD screen.

Bought this to replace the standard LCD cover that came with my Nikon D300. Easy to install and it does it's job keeping the LCD dust and moisture free as I tend to breath out while taking longer exposure shots to steady my hand. That being said, I have a tendency to review my shots when I take them, so the pop-up shade is somewhat of a hindrance, but you can slide it off and still have the clear LCD protector in place. Great product overall.

very good for sun and for the lcd protect
1 problem is that you need to close it when you shot because you need to look through the eyepiece

Use this outdoors especially in sunlight. Really helps see the nice screen on my D300.
