The Audio-Technica AT2020USB is a cost effective condenser microphone with a USB connector for direct integration with Windows and Mac computers. Podcasting, studio recording and other computer recording applications are achieved with superb results, low noise and crystal-clear quality. The capsule features a 16mm low-mass, side-address diaphragm with a cardioid polar pattern.
The cardioid pattern is effective in rejecting ambiance and noise at the off-axis sections of the microphone capsule. A linear frequency response of 20Hz to 16kHz enables the flexibility to accurately reproduce signals from any source. High SPL handling and wide dynamic range allow the AT2020USB to capture loud signals with minimal noise and distortion. The microphone includes a pivoting, threaded stand mount for accurate positioning.

- The USB connector provides direct integration with Windows and Mac computers. Podcasting, studio recording and other computer recording applications are achieved with superb results, low noise and crystal-clear quality.
- Cardioid Condenser Element
- The 16mm low-mass diaphragm features a cardioid polar pattern. The cardioid pattern effectively minimizes ambient room noise, noise from adjacent instruments or vocalists and minimizes feed-back caused by monitors.

- The wide frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz allows accurate signal reproduction from any source.

- The AT2020USB boasts a wide dynamic range of 124dB (typical). The capsule reproduces loud signals and transients with minimal noise and peak distortion.

This microphone is great because you take it out of the box plug it in and that is it, you are ready to record in seconds! I would definitely recommend getting a shock mount for sure, a pop filter, and some type of stand. This microphone pics up any noise that is why i would definitely get a shock mount if you cant get anything else because if the microphone moves you will here it that is the only bad thing about it which is not even that bad. When you are recording make sure you are in a quite place as well.

I'm a singer and I just got into the music business. I needed an easy to use mic with great quality. I read and watched a lot of reviews and so far this microphone has proven itself to be a great choice. It's a usb mic so I can just plug and play whenever I want to. It comes with a little stand, I had no problem with it but if you prefer standing up and singing than you need a mic stand.

I use this microphone for recording. I am a musician. I'm just started recording and was looking for a mic that has good quality and is easy to use. And I came across this plug and play mic. I just got it today and so far so good. I haven't had any problems when it. The mic comes with a pretty long usb cable, which is good if you like to stand up and record.Nothing wrong the mic. Getting the stand on was kinda hard for me. But I highly recommend this mic.

Very solidly built microphone. You really can't go wrong with these, as they can suit everything ranging from home studio recording to podcast recording to skyping with friends. I would highly recommend a pop filter as well as a shock mount. Also, the stand is quite flimsy and I wouldn't trust it.

This is a great Mic for all different applications. We use it mainly for voice overs on our e-Learning trainings. USB connection, comes with a stand, nice case. I would suggest to get a microphone popper stopper to help with those P words.
