Sony's DEMO DCR-DVD810 8GB Hybrid DVD/Memory Stick Standard Definition Camcorder keeps recording easy. It features hybrid capture with immediate playback on most DVD players and computers. In addition, the 2.7" wide touch panel LCD display rotates up to 270° offering you a variety of viewing angles and easy to navigate menus. This top tier model features recording to the 8GB flash memory, DVD or Sony's own Memory Stick PRO Duo or Memory Stick Duo media for quick sharing and playback, saving you from complicated editing processes.

The 25x optical zoom provides clear, accurate close-ups while the built-in zoom mic picks up audio as you close-in on your subject. And, the Quick On button ensures that you'll never miss an important moment again by getting your camera ready to record with just a touch. The DCR-DVD810 gives you the freedom to shoot without having to lug around delicate or awkward recording media, letting you focus on what really matters.

• Hybrid Recording: Hybrid recording lets you capture video or still images to the 8GB Flash Memory, DVD and Memory Stick PRO Duo and Memory Stick Duo media. DVDs can be played back in most DVD players (SD), computers, and Blu-ray Disc players. Use the Memory Stick media for quick and easy emailing, transferring to PCs, printing or using with compatible Memory Stick devices. Also burn video from the Flash Memory and Memory Stick to DVD in-camera.

• 1/6" Advanced HAD CCD Sensor: The 1/6" Advanced HAD (Hole Accumulation Diode) CCD sensor gives your video and still images exceptional accuracy and clarity with 680k (effective) pixels.

• Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar Lens: Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lenses have been designed especially for consumer camcorders. These lenses offer the sharpness and quality of professional lenses.

• DVD Recording Format: The DVD format records with MPEG-2 compression for audio and video that mimics MiniDV quality. DVD+RW has the advantage of instant playback without finalization in DVD players (SD), Blu-ray Disc players, computers and PlayStation 3 video game consoles. DVD-R/-RW and R DL compatible formats can all be finalized in-camera.

• Memory Stick PRO Duo Media Slot: The Memory Stick PRO Duo Media slot allows you to insert Memory Stick PRO Duo and Memory Stick Duo media (sold separately) for capturing video and still images.

• InfoLITHIUM Battery with AccuPower Meter System: The InfoLITHIUM Battery with the AccuPower Meter System is one smart rechargeable battery. View remaining battery or charging time (in minutes) on the LCD or viewfinder so you always know where you're at with battery life. These batteries are not subject to memory effect which shortens battery life when you charge too often. Charge whenever you want without worry.

• Manual Focus: Use the touch panel display to control the manual focus feature.

• Super NightShot Plus Infrared System: Ever want to record at night or in low light but can't? Well now you can. The Super NightShot Plus Infrared System records with a slow shutter speed to capture video even in complete darkness (0 lux) providing video with both color and clarity.

• Stamina Battery Power Management System: The Stamina Battery Power Management System lets the camcorder extend InfoLITHIUM battery life for extra long recording.

• Scene Selection Modes: No matter what situation you might find yourself in Sony provides a scene mode that will make your recording as effortless as possible. Choose from: Auto, Twilight, Candle (move only), Sunrise & Sunset, Fireworks (move only), Landscape, Portrait, Spotlight, Sports (move only), Beach and Snow.

• Picture Effects: Give your video a creative look when you add Monotone, Sepia or Pastel picture effects.

• Fader Effects 2: When ending or starting a scene won't due use the black or white fader effects for a smooth, professional looking transition.

• Visual Index Screen: There's no need to search through your video or still images until you find what you're looking for. The Visual Index screen displays thumbnails on the camcorder or on a DVD player for fast look up and play back.

• Easy Handycam Button: Sony knows that camcorders can be complicated at times. That's why they give you the option to keep things simple with the Easy Handycam Button. This option locks out more complicated features. Only the buttons essential to recording remain unlocked, letting you concentrate on capturing and enjoying the moment.
