The Samsung NV4 Digital Camera is not just a high resolution 8.2 megapixel digital camera with a 3x Zoom lens, the NV4 is also a luxurious and practical multimedia device sure to attract the next generation of digital photographers. Encased in a thin 17.5mm metal body, the NV4 Digital Camera also functions as an MP3 player so you can listen to the music via the built-in stereo speakers or included headphones, a Portable Multimedia Player (PMP) to watch downloaded movies, a digital camcorder with MPEG-4 capture capability along with Auto Gain Control (AGC) technology to minimize zoom noise during video recording, and even a text viewer that allows the user to read text files on the cameras LCD. Furthermore, the unit supports multi-tasking ability that enables you to listen to music while taking pictures, or reading an e-book.
- 8.2 Megapixel Resolution
- The NV4 uses a 1/2.5" CCD with 8.2 megapixels of effective resolution combined with a powerful image processor to provide images with color gradation, along with fast picture processing. With this high level of resolution, your pictures will have superb detail - even at print sizes up to 16 x 20".

- Slim Design
- The 2.5 inch TFT color LCD monitor provides a wide clear screen so that you can easily frame and view your images. Brightness of the display is automatically adjusted based on ambient light conditions to ensure visibility of the display in bright light conditions and to prevent unnecessary battery consumption when pictures are taken in low light conditions.
- Multifunction Convergence Digital Camera
- The NV3 is not only a great digital camera but also a perfect MP3 player*, Portable Multimedia Player*, Digital camcorder, Text Viewer*, and much more. The NV3 also has stereo speakers built in for a richer sound experience, so you can enjoy movies with realistic sound. Moreover, NV3 has a special audio processing chip delivering 3D audio, and preset audio balance for Jazz, Rock, and other genres providing richer sound.
- High Sensitivity (ISO 3200)
- The NV4 has an auto sensitivity feature that automatically adjusts sensitivity according to the ambient exposure conditions up to ISO 3200, and enables you to take clear indoor pictures in the dark without camera shake and the resulting image blurring.
- Digital Image Stabilization
- When the Digital Image Stabilization feature is enabled, the camera takes two images of the scene in quick succession and the information from the images is combined to compensate for image distortion or blurring caused by either camera or subject movement, resulting in clear images with natural color - even under low light. This method of image stabilization also uses less power than a traditional mechanical image stabilization system.
- Face Detection Function
- The Face Detection Function automatically detects the face in the frame and adjusts the cameras focus and brightness settings to optimize portrait photos. The system can also recognize up to 9 faces at a time for beautiful group shots and can even make effective correction in backlight conditions.
- Self Portrait Mode
- Using the face detection function, a beeping sound notifies users when a face is located in a specific area. This function helps users create accurate self portraits. The self portrait shooting can also recognize up to 3 faces for shots with friends, while a beeping sound will indicate if any of the faces moves out of the frame.
- Red-eye Fix
- The Red-eye Fix algorithm programmed into the camera automatically eliminates red eye in shoot and play modes, allowing you easily take a natural portrait photo.
- Auto Contrast Balance (ACB)
- The Auto Contrast Balance feature provides automatic adjustment of contrast of your image for a more natural look to your images when there is large brightness difference within the frame.
- Movie Recording and Editing
- The NV4 supports SVGA (800 x 592 @ 20 fps) and TV quality VGA (640 x 480 @ 30 fps) video recording, with Auto Gain Control (AGC) technology that minimizes image noise during recording. The camera also permits the use of the 3x zoom lens when recording video and utilizes the efficient MPEG-4 codec to maximize video capture with your available memory. Video editing capabilities (shake correction, shot continuity, video extraction, and image capture) are also available right in the camera.
- Color Effect Function
- Get creative with your images by applying unique color effects. there are seven color effects available when shooting (Normal, BW, Sepia, Blue, Red, Green, Negative and Custom), and five additional color effects (Color Filter, Shaded, Elegant, Add Noise) can be added after the shot is captured.
- Scene Modes
- The NV3 includes 14 Scene Modes so it is easy for users to obtain the best picture result in a variety of settings. The scene modes provided are Portrait, Children, Night scene, Backlight, Landscape, Sunset, Dawn, Firework, Snow, Close up, Self, Cafe, Food and Text. In particular, Text mode extends the camera's application potential since you can shoot documents and then extract text from the images taken using the software included.
- Function Description Feature
- The Function Description feature automatically provides a brief and easy to understand description of each setting right on the cameras display when scrolling through the menus to help you select the best setting for your particular shooting scenario. A Photo Help Guide with instructions regarding the use of the camera functions is also available.
- Multiple Recharging Methods
- Recharging can be done using the included 24 pin USB cable, the optional camera cradle or by using an optional external battery charger.
