Samsung NV30 Digital Camera (Silver)

The Samsung NV30 Digital Camera incorporates an 8.1 megapixel effective resolution 1/1.2.5" CCD to provide superb image detail, and the 3x zoom Schneider Lens ensures that your images will be crisp and sharp. The high quality 2.5" wide-view LCD allows you to view brighter, clearer images, while the innovative Smart Touch user interface, makes it possible to quickly navigate and set menu items or view pictures.
In addition, Samsung's Dual Image Stabilization system utilizes a lens-shift method of Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to minimize the effect of hand shake and other camera movements and Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) that takes advantage of the cameras high sensitivity (up to ISO 3200) to enable you to take better, clearer pictures indoors or in lower light conditions. Other unique features of the Samsung NV30 include Auto Contrast Balance (ACB), Face Detection with Red-eye Fix, and built-in Special Effects.

- The NV30 provides up to 8.1 megapixel resolution resulting in picture quality of unmatched beauty - even at print sizes up to 20 x 30". Additionally, the cameras image processor allows for rich gradation, fast and high quality picture processing.

The superior quality Schneider lens produces crystal clear images with a 3x zoom range equivalent to 37
- 111 mm on a 35 mm camera. The camera also has a 5x digital zoom function that combines to offer a total zoom ratio of 15x. Each lens surface is multi-coated to minimize the "ghost" or "flare" phenomenon, and the specially designed combination of aspherical and a low dispersion lens elements prevents all chromatic aberration and distortion.
- Dual Image Stabilization
- The NV30 digital camera has a Dual Image Stabilization system that combines a lens-shift method of Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which compensates for hand shake and other camera movements with a Digital Image Stabilization (DIS), which utilizes the cameras image processor and high sensitivity (up to ISO 3200) to reduce blur caused by movement of the subject or due to low light shooting conditions. Concurrent use of OIS and DIS correction ensures clear picture quality in any shooting condition.
- Face Detection Function
- The Face Detection function detects up to nine different faces, enabling you to take perfect portraits and group shots. In addition to automatically adjusting focus and brightness to optimum levels, this feature also senses and removes red-eye with the auto Red-eye Fix algorithm, allowing you to easily take more natural, flattering portrait shots, and without the need for further post-shot image editing on your computer.
- ACB (Auto Contrast Balance) Function
- The Auto Contrast Balance function automatically compensates the brightness of objects in challenging light environments to ensure a perfectly exposed image, and provide more natural looking images under backlight conditions, or when there is large brightness difference within the frame.
- Large 2.5" LCD with Smart Touch Controls
- The 2.5 inch LCD monitor provides a wide clear screen so that you can easily frame and view your images, and the Smart Touch user interface makes it possible to quickly navigate and set menu items or view pictures. The unique arrangement of the Smart Touch buttons combined with 2.5 inch LCD on the back of the camera enables users to conveniently select and control functions using horizontal and vertical keys, and provides intuitive control over the camera unlike anything seen before. Furthermore, the LCD display automatically detects the ambient light conditions and automatically changes the brightness level to optimize viewability.
- Movie Recording and Editing
- The NV30 records TV quality MPEG-4 VGA video (640 x 480 @ 30 fps), and also allows for the use of the cameras optical zoom while recording a movie - a very uncommon capability in a digital still camera. Furthermore, the built-in movie editing function allows simple, convenient movie editing on the spot.
- Attractive Ergonomic Design
- The thin aluminum body of the NV30 is stunning in its appearance with Samsungÿ´s unique blue ring on its extendable lens barrel. Although the camera is less than 20mm thick, the comfortable anti-slip rubberized grip gives the camera a firm feel and makes it easy to steady the camera - even with one hand. Furthermore, the camera's refined details such as contrasting finishes result in an unexpected level of beauty and luxury.
- Versatile Scene Modes
- The NV30 includes 14 Scene Modes so it is easy for users to obtain the best picture result in a variety of settings, and get professional looking results. Based on the selected situation, shooting data such as exposure, color and contrast are automatically adjusted to achieve optimal image quality. The scene modes include Portrait, Children, Night scene, Backlight, Landscape, Sunset, Dawn, Firework, Snow, Close up, Self, Cafe, Food and Text. There is also a Self Portrait mode for accurate exposure and focus for self portrait shots.
- Photo Style Selector & Image Adjustments
- Get creative with the built-in Photo Style Selector. With a total of 7 special effects that are so easy to use, even a novice can use them, the NV30 helps you create imaginative images. The photo style effects include Soft, Vivid, Forest, Retro, Cool, Calm, and Classic, and allow users to preview the selected effect before actually shooting the image. The camera also provides 5-levels of Sharpness, Contrast and Saturation Adjustments to fine tune the look of your images even further.
- Color Effects Function
- The camera has 7 built-in color effects (Normal, BW, Sepia, Blue, Red, Green, Negative and Custom) that can be applied while shooting or afterwards during playback. The camera also provides some creative editing features that can only be applied during playback (Colour Filter, Shaded, Elegant, Add Noise) to further inject your own creative vision into your images.
- Function Description Feature
- The Function Description feature automatically provides a brief and easy to understand description of each setting right on the cameras display when scrolling through the menus to help you select the best setting for your particular shooting scenario. Instructions regarding the use of the camera functions are also available.
- Multi Slide Show
- View a slideshow of the pictures stored in the camera using one of five themes along with various special effects and choose one of 3 background music selections stored in the camera memory to play along with your slide show. Then connect your camera to a television via the video out to share your slide show with family and friends.
- Internal and Expandable Memory
- The camera is equipped with 20 megabytes of internal memory so there is no need for a memory card to take pictures. The camera memory is also expandable using Secure Digital (SD) flash memory cards (also compatible with MMC and SDHC cards)
- Multi-charging System
- With Samsung's unique multi-charging system, traveling with your digital camera has become easier. With the included charging USB cable kit, (SAC-47, SUC-C3), you can conveniently charge the camera from an AC power plug, or from a computer equipped with a USB port.
